Ig Trading (CFD) prices the Dow Jones down another 70 pt right now (they offer weekend trading but with large spread especially at times of high volatility and the only allow market order). Probably based on corona cases in Korea and deaths in italy, as well as imf growth outlook down revision...

Ok, thank you, so the 7am spikes are only due to some brokers entering their orders by then? At 4am premarket opens, so it just matches the entered order in the system then i guess (as in an auction but without auction process before open).

Does anyone know, where i can get indicative auction prices for the 4am and 7am auctions in us equities. I can't get them with IB (auction price only refers to the opening and closing auction). Is it a different field? Sometimes especially the 7am leads to movements off the real market price...

I agree with Robert, odd lots are just there at the exchange waiting to be hit at that particular exchange. I can give an example (not an actual one, but similar things happened). NBBO is 20.01x20.05. I enter a buy order 50@20.02 routed to Island I enter another order 50@20.03 routed to ARCA...

opened around 60 and went right up.. I wanted to go Long the open, but interactivebrokers did cap my buy order way below indicative open and didn't get an execution (although limit 61)... Would have been an easy flip on the open. Anyone else with the same bad experience? How can you bypass this...
