    58.com (WUBA) - China's Craigslist

Surprised no mention on this board. It IPOed today and is up 40%. Profitable company. Valuation is not too excessive. At IPO price of $14-17, it was valued around $1.2 billion.

    RSS feed for stock news

I had Fly but have to switch to swing trading since I'm getting more involved in my other business. So I don't need up-to-the-minute news. I'll double check yahoo. Not really want to mess with YQL unless it's really easy.

    RSS feed for stock news

I'm cleaning up my Feedly's RSS feeds and realized most of my financial feeds are too general. Don't have time to read long commentary like the WSJ. Even Motley Fool can get preachy at times. Just want a feed that gives the latest breaking news that are moving stocks prices. Nothing more...

    Hubert Senters left TTM?

I know a couple of years ago, Senters was caught bsing about some trading scenario. From what I remembered, he always seemed the lazy one of the two. I can imagine him not pulling his weight and just coasting off the commissions they were making from their dwindling subscriber base.

Moving Forward: Your Opinion of ET

Ugh, Facebook. If you got to jump on the bandwagon, then you got to. Not a big fan of FB, except if it makes me moolah :D

Moving Forward: Your Opinion of ET

If you mean to get rid of it completely, I don't agree with that. The lack of updates is the problem. Having more updates with the latest materials and related links to significant threads would make those areas more relevant. There was a thread that showcased Marty Schwartz 2013 Amherst...

Moving Forward: Your Opinion of ET

A number of other features that I've seen other active forums showcasing, - threads can be very long. lots of reader ask for cliff notes, saying "tl;dr". I always appreciate it when someone does a summary. That summary should be posted right next to the OP's original post. Any new updates...

Moving Forward: Your Opinion of ET

Why did I come to ET in first place? It was so long ago but probably because I needed an answer and searched for it on the web. The web showed ET had some type of discussion that fit my needs. This was before Google since I've been on ET since the late 90s. Nowadays, Google does an even...

    Facebook Crash

FB seems to be on the right track. But in terms of a growth stock, that market cap is going to cause some inertia.

XKeyscore: NSA tool collects 'nearly everything a user does on the internet'

Exactly what's the logistics on how to accomplish this?? Unless they have the cooperation of every ISP, how can you track someone's complete browsing history? Google can track you fairly well if you are logged in and doing things with their search or even general things (malware) but once...

Marty Schwartz at Amherst College, Spring 2013

THAT was good. Marty Schwartz is a charismatic, engaging speaker. Judging by the writing in his book, you would think he'll come off more "caveman-ish". You can tell his upbringing was very pedestrian (i.e. betting horses, gruff language in the book) but his natural intelligence/street...

Marty Schwartz at Amherst College, Spring 2013

In case anyone was wondering, Schwartz was big on Terry Laundry's T Theory. Intro to T theory

Marty Schwartz at Amherst College, Spring 2013

So how is it? Don't have the time at the moment to watch hour presentation. Any decent trading nuggets? Or is he relegated to pre-HFT trading past. Game is more efficient today. Don't know if his "T" technical analysis would hold up today.

Chicago pits going quiet, 165 years after shouting began

Got to get with the times. Open outcry is archaic. Suing is just a waste of time from the inevitable.

    Duel ISP

Yeah sure it works. Dual WAN router are pretty cool. I've tested the peplink by shutting off one of the ISP. The other connection continues to work. The one issue is that you may have to restart your trading application. Not sure why IB TWS can't seamlessly failover to the other...
