Actually, this stock makes GOOG look tame. The spreads on this thing are death though, so my hats off to guys navigating this thing successfully.

Look, Trend Dynamics is essentially a manual that discusses general market tendencies. Its not unlike stuff written by Livermore, Wyckoff, etc, etc. Guys like yourself tend to take everything so literally and if you find one instance that refutes the theory, you go nuts.

You must have missed the Globex spikes from 99-00 when the electronic contract was in its infancy. It was not uncommon to have cascading spikes up and down in the ES a few times a week or a month. In fact, just 2 years ago there were a number of "fat finger" trades in the ES, NQ. I suppose...

Actually, I believe that is why IB, ThinkorSwim, etc, etc, require individuals who want to trade futures, options spreads, option outrights, etc, to first open up an IRA Trust and the Trust Co. acts as the custodian.

yeah, I agree. I also think the system is so flush with liquidity and costs/commissions are so negligible that the competition for each piece of the pie has just spiked exponentially.

Last year at this time, with very similar price action (although I would say this is even more listless than 2004), there were 3-4 threads about 990N. This year we dont have the scapegoat to lash out against.
