Handling Futures Contracts P/L in Foreign Currency? Possible?

Any real answers to this question? I know I can do the calculations by hand, but I’m wondering if there’s an easier way to do this…

    Pushing Yourself To Work Harder

I like this thread and this advice. I also want to learn how to push myself a bit harder but then I realize that a lot of it is your surroundings and what you focus on. Many people who work from home tend to find that they need a separate “office” to actually do work, just because it’s...

Handling Futures Contracts P/L in Foreign Currency? Possible?

I’m trading US futures, however all my profit and loss calculations are in USD. I’m looking for a way to have all my systems display the profits in my native currency… Basically I want to do all my calculations in Rupees instead of USD. I understand that I’ll have to buy the futures in...

Guy says when I place a trade, someone else goes short that position, is this true?

This is an important distinction to make. Options and stocks are not the same – options are basically an independent “bet” between two parties on the price of a stock. Stocks however don’t need someone to be short when a sale happens because it can just be transferring ownership of shares.

Woah… That beer drone looks really cool. If it could also drop nachos too that would be absolutely amazing at games… Not just for music festivals.

    Increasing Size During Drawdown

Yeah, Martingaling for stocks is definitely a bad idea. I like the answer of increasing your size after some profitable days. That seems like it might be a good idea. It's tempting to increase after a loss, but your loss might be a sign that your system is no longer working. If that's the case...

    AAPL

Apple does feel bearish now. I might buy but I’m not sure there’s enough evidence to suggest this is the bottom. Apple seems to trade a lot on sentiment, not fundamentals. I do have to agree, though the P/E ratio does make it an attractive buy.

Online colleges accelerating at a "crazy fast" pace.

Online schools like that are a sham. Well most of the education system is anyways. Don’t get me wrong, there are places where it’s worth a lot of money to get a good education, but those are becoming very few and far between. Heck with the internet I can become just as good at medieval...

    HFT vs Small Traders

I’m not really a daytrader, so I can’t comment a lot on experiences “fighting” HFTs but I know they represent a significant advantage over the retail daytrading investor. That’s why I try and steer clear of daytrading and take advantage of systems that are longer terms (like day bar...

Wow that must be cool to be up there. You really can’t make any mistakes or miss a step. But I think the view from one of those places would be incredible and to forever walk by the building and remember you set the flag on it would be cool.

Guy Spent $11,000 On A Coding 'Bootcamp' And Doubled His Salary

That’s very true. Without any oversight this could be a potential scam opportunity. But then again, if it’s just skills and no money, there’s no downside aside from lost time? If he didn’t get a decent job after that he’d pay far less back to the school and as long as they provide him...

Guy Spent $11,000 On A Coding 'Bootcamp' And Doubled His Salary

I liked the part in the article where one founder Mr. Ned started a school that took a slice of the graduate’s first year salary – I think it was 15%. That’s awesome as you can gain skills but only pay the school if you get a job. That’s certainly much better than paying thousands up...

Scientists discovered a potential Cure All for cancer

"This is great news... but the details are still vague. I wish I could find some more data on what exactly CD47 does as it's a good concept. If you can have the body's natural system fight off the cancer cells that would seem to be the best approach."
