What is the IB API symbol for ES Futures?

The strange part is that when I use ES only as the symbol it will work, but the values are not corresponding to the ES future so I am guessing it is bringing back some other stock or something. I will keep searching, thanks a lot!

What is the IB API symbol for ES Futures?

The thing is that when I try it with stocks it works. My guess is that there is some special way to format futures which I am not aware of.

I would say, if you need to ask people you don't know over the internet if you should trust someone people over the internet doesn't know...then I would pass.

Also the thing with Ameritrade and such a small account is that commissions will kill you if you. Though you can get 60 days comissions free with them.

As @Autodidact said, I would learn a little bit of programming and test my strategy using something like quantconnect. Simple doesn't mean that it won't work. In my experience, (smart + simple) usually gives me the best results. Though finding what to put inside 'smart' and inside 'simple' is...

Why Use a Daily Stop Loss? Do you use it?

I learnt this the hard way. It was a psychological battle. It was not easy as it sounds because part of your brain tells you that "you are right, just hold on a little bit more as it happened before and you will be fine". It was hard to stop listening to that part of my brain. But you should...

What's the fastest you moved money out of a Brokerage you thought was going to be great?

Yes, it really depends on account size. If the account is small, TD commissions are pretty high (especially compared to IB). They charge a flat 9.99 each way. So if you are trading just 100 shares you will have to pay $9.99 while on IB you will pay $1. Now, if you plan to trade 10 times that...
