You guys are speaking from the point of view of money. The reason we trade the qqq is because for a beginner to trade 800 shares at a time (the equivalent shares of qqq to nq) is suicide.

One problem with the rule, at least for me, is that it keeps me in a bad trade longer because I hate to give up what may be my only chance that day.:mad:

I think its going to be harder and harder to make a buck. Nothing but pros and prowannabes churning each other. Everybody entering on the same setups then trying to get out first reducing the margins until they dissappear.

You guys looking for a backup might consider Tradescape. 1.5 cents a share, 7.95 max. Some ecn fees so its more expensive than IB but not too much. 5K to open an account. Their software is pretty sophomoric but execution was reasonable and you get free level two. For a backup it should be ok.

I think this coming week may be crucial. Lots of major earnings and numbers coming out. Should push it one way or the other.

P2 I noticed in another post you said your'e 20 years old. Would you mind sharing how you came into enough money to trade the number of shares you trade? Did you build it up from scratch? If im too nosy, sorry.

I personally feel that scalping has the least risk of any method and once you master it, its yours from now on. Longer term traders are subject to ego crashes and blowouts but a scalper like hitman may have a bad day or week but if he's down with the game hes not going to lose it. You just get...
