DRL: seems to me an amazing buying oppty

Yes, after a big down moverment, a price reversal is extremely bullish. The shorts now are very worried--you should have seen them during the reversal trying to hold the price back by flashing a big ask, but they couldn't hold it back, nor could they afford to short more stock with a change in...

DRL: seems to me an amazing buying oppty

Since I posted the last message, the stock went up about $.30, about a 4% increase. It closed $.44 higher than the low of the day after the manipulation, or about a 6% increase.

DRL: seems to me an amazing buying oppty

DRL came out with an excellent report showing they are still making good money with a one time accounting write-off, and shorts still manipulated it down today. I have added to my collection.

    Interest on account balance

What you really need is the clearance firm to be big. Red Sky Securities is probably your answer (based upon who they clear through), but I have other ideas as well. You can send me a private message if you would like.

Covered call: How do you pick best expiration month?

You are yes saying good stuff. I did qualify "for a stock that can't go lower", and for a low priced stock, as the difference between a bull credit spread and a covered call are about nill for low priced stocks. If I may add, the cc I would sell would ideally be out-of-the-money, paying a nice...

    Avoid low volume options?

BTW, if you are an IB client, be careful with ITM option trading if you don't have the underlying stock and are relying on margining.

Covered call: How do you pick best expiration month?

IMO, you should sell the second month out, and should choose stocks that "can't go any lower". At that point, to decide if to do credit spreads or covered calls, and that will depend on how much time premium you must pay for the long, and also on how low priced the stock is. After a two...

DRL: seems to me an amazing buying oppty

There were issues, but IMO, the shorts REALLY overdid it.

Smart trading: Picking no lose stocks

It would seem to me that would depend if it is a high or low volatility stock.

DRL: seems to me an amazing buying oppty

Brean Murray seems to have downgraded DRL from accumulate to hold. I think their input is almost worthless. Note the following two observations: 1. Thursday: Note 3 large volume trades (2 at 200,000 shs and 1 at 400,000 shs) that supported the price around the 8.10 price. 2. Friday...

Smart trading: Picking no lose stocks

IMO, credit spreads are the best option strategy if you almost know you've got a stock that can't go down; there is left two remaining possibilities (it goes up or stays still), and both are winners. Alternatively, that is the one time I would consider covered calls, if it is also a low priced...

Smart trading: Picking no lose stocks

Unbelievable what TZOO has done recently! After a gigantic move up with great news, wow was there a correction!! See the following thread about DRL which I believe fits exactly what I'm looking for. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=68129

DRL: seems to me an amazing buying oppty

This thread comes in the wake of the thread I had started a couple of weeks ago about picking no losing stocks: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=67037 See DRL the last time it dipped to this low price. I bought at that time, and it came right back up a few points. Now...

Data feed: Real Tick? DTN? other?

I don't remember my own conclusions regarding quality data feed providers (i.e. hundreds of dollars range)--also perhaps someone has recent experiences (e.g. improvements made). What do you all recommend in terms of speed, reliability and price? Appreciated

QQQQ trading system for a hedge fund

Thank you. Actually, I have what I believe is an amazing strategy and don't have the time available to perfect and backtest it. I would be interested in exchanging the strategy with someone (PM me) who understands options and can efficiently test and develop.

Smart trading: Picking no lose stocks

I'm not expressing an opinion on ORCL, but it's not exactly beaten up. The ideal candidate: I was hoping to find something that took a dip, then a second dip with some news playing on people's fears--then in the end you see there was nothing so wrong in the first place.

Smart trading: Picking no lose stocks

IMO, the best trading strategy is choosing stocks that simply can't go lower, yet still good fundamentals. E.g. I was looking at KKD as such a possibility when it was around $6 plus about a month-- it was beaten and beaten, yet still had good fundamentals (sure enough, went up to $9 range)...
