I`ve had that lovely little experience today with NEOL split. I went to bed on Friday being short June Call 17.5 OTM and I woke up this session being short (again) but June Call 15.325 ITM or something like this. May I please ask how often you guys handle this pleasure ? Just one of these...

It is hard to imagine higher vola, right ? I has been on the roof for a while. I am short vega, however once I had to rollover my position.

While non-directional for BPUR seems to not having great view I added vertical spread short p 5 long p 2.5. Combined with existing position looks quite interesting, but somewhat complicated.

...was for me, since I trade non-directional strategies. Such up day must be good for Trajan for getting in, since this what he trades is mostly directional, right Trajan ? Trdmac, I`m originally born in Europe, living in US all my adult life around NYC, now temporarily back in Europe again...

What is your town, trdmac ? I rarely go to such seminars, they usually present a lot of new ideas which needs a lot of work to check it out whether it makes sense or not, and finally I end up doing the same as before :)

Yes, I can see that, if the price hits 6 I will need to roll over, however the problem with stocks around $5 is, that next strike is too far vs. price of the stock. It means that must be at least above $10 to be in in the area of my interest. If it hits my ceiling level, I`ll switch into IGEN...

I`ve never done this, that`s why I`m asking. The simulator shows me that once vol is very high, calendar spread can break out. BTW DNA does not work for me because of low price/underlying ratio.

USG, this one had craze day yesterday, Trajan, what results do you get doing 2 vs 1, "jelly roll" ? I did studies regarding this some time ago, and I found that exploding volatility could change everything, did I get it right ? Also was interested in calendar spreads, but finally came...

Osimulator is Option Simulator, the program I have from OIC, while it is not professional, it still works for me. Then I do a lot of main calculations through TS, programming what I need i.e. how many times underlying breaks out of 10% price range before expiration. I`m asking this question...

The best of the best is that margins were calculated not precisely as I expected, however somewhat better. It`s nice, but still not understood. I calculated them accordingly to my broker`s explanations. Feel like getting into grey area :)
