What happened to Suger July vs. Oct today?

not to correct you but there is no first notice in sugar, it is expiration today. it is super thin and therefore mix that with people needing to get stuff done and out of position, it's going to have wild moves. This happens a lot with spreads about to expire, makes for some fun trading.

looks like n/q doesn't like the -1.00 to -.90 area and keeps coming off...4000 lot order flashed on the offer today around the -1.28 area. We'll have to see where this goes, especially with what's going on with BP.

How fast are options market makers?

not sure about how many ms, but they can also change settings so quotes don't change with every increment of the underlying...there are tons of factors...how fast is your computer, how fast is your line.

    Best Options Trading Platform

retail wise I like Think or Swim...commissions on Interactive Brokers is better...I have also been recently using Live Vol Pro, good platform for volatility information

    Weird can anybody explain?

you can buy calls if you think the price will blow through your strike by expiration and stay there aka enough to pay for your premium...you could also sell those expensive (vol-wise) downside puts and/or buy calls against it...you could just buy the stock...of course if we get another leg down...
