Would like to hear some comments on people who have or have attempted to prematurely sever their prop trading agreements, either with monetary provisions, time provisions, or any other restrictive covenants. How has your former firm responded? Has anyone tried to take legal action against you...

Easy...........Take your 6 tick profit. You dont need to take huge winners in order to trade size in this. Think of it this way......if you make 4 1/2 ticks per day clipping 100's, thats $5,000 per day. IF you can do that same thing on 300's, and keep the same discipline, Its $15,000/day...

The spreading act. has def. picked up as of late. Also, alot of the options hedging has been going through the screen as well. I dont think they are more difficult.......However I have found that I actually have to look away from the screen sometimes so I dont get caught up in the book!!!!

RiskArb, I think you are wrong about that. I have a bloomberg term. and our analyst has Reuters in front of him as well. We have consistently seen Reuters beat Bloomberg to the punch. There are occasions wwhere Blmberg beats them, but not too often.
