FXI opened almost 10% down 3 days ago. if u were holding options, u probably lost almost everything overnight. and if BIDU crashes , FXI would probably go down more, then it might be okay to buy FXI.

can i make a suggestion:why not post your percentage % gain/loss on your account also. that will put your profits in a better perspective. i mean if you are making $1000 on your 1 million account, that's not exactly the best performance.

don't worry about missed opportunities - it will have a negative influence on your trading. and it shouldn't be all about making a lot of money, its about making good trades and being a good trader.

i guess if you are trading stocks you can make money on choppy days by picking the strongest or weakest stocks. But what about the people who trade ETFs? or options traders who trade options on ETFs (QQQQ, SPY, etc)? - its seems it would be difficult since most ETFs have been ranging less than...

thank you all very much. it was stupid of me to begin trading options without knowing the impact of implied volatility on options pricing. i will be reading natenberg's book and ofcourse the ET forums tonight, simply browsing thru the pages over the summer wasn't good enough.
