I mostly watch ema50 and ema20 and look for an engulfer off that with the direction of the main trend.

Tickmill is quite good with spreads, i use stochastics don't know if that helps

For the record I never claimed I was trading big instead I claimed the opposite: that I was trading small but you seem to be obsessed about that fact. Nothing else usefull to do ?

afternoon trades s&p500: short 3574.75 ib at level / reversed 3564.75 with what I like to call a jump bar / exit at level 3578.40

out -20, I misread that divergence, almost a good one but not quite.

short 13208 engulfer with divergence around level.

closed my long at 3551 level.

Today the 15M s&p500 is unclear so I took a trade of the 5M 3532.64 with most the ema's breaking.

Well for the Dax I focus on the 5M, for s&p500 I mostly pay attention to the 15M. I use ema9/20/50/100/150/200 to guide but more importantly I look at sto(12,3,3) + I look at levels to get me out (which is not always a hard black and white thing as you could see this morning)

morning trading: Dax long 13008 at the start of the day, closed at 13126 Still satisfied but could have played this better as my original target was 13141 ...

afternoon trading s&p500: short 3658 (15M ib break) / exit at 3610.5 (once again 15M ib break) for a more than satisfying afternoon.

morning Dax: long 12713 after an RT opening hour from hell and the second hour hardly any better where I managed to sit on my hands / out at 12729.5 and off course now it goes through the roof .... well this is a marathon not a sprint.

Thanks for solving a problem I was still strugling with TraderDaveUk. Idd it makes more sense to trade Dax in the morning and then switching to sp500 in the afternoon. Doing that solved a problem I was still having on a certain day in my backtesting.

Good question sometimes they are not quite in sync. As far as I have seen during US hours it's the US major indices that lead. However my intention is to trade Dax on it's own.
