Does anyone share the thought that Mr. Greenspan is getting too old to handle this ? Also that he's been around for such a long time, he couldn't have anything left to give ? Don't you think change is also needed at the Fed as much as it's needed at the Presidency ? Greenspan reminds me of...

You always get that type of mental disorder from SECs whenever a markets crashes ... everything will get back to normal whenever the market stops the bleeding ...

How about losing trades ? Does anyone lose at all in here ? :)

The best performing index (The DOW) is already down 30% from its peak ... needless to discuss the NASDAQ or S&P ... A crash as I understand it comes when people are heavily invested in the market so that everyone gets hurt ... i.e. after a long bull trend ... but when the market is already...

It's not that they move in two different directions ... but rather that the stock market tends to lead the economy ... the stock market went down much earlier than we started hearing about Enron and the others, which actually came more than a year later ... and in the same way, when they ALL...

If the question is about the first thing we do, which affects trading ... then mine is .. checking futures ...

Someone once said "there is light at the end of the tunnel" ... I say "How long is the tunnel ???" ...

Ok Bullet :) If u say so ... of course many traders do better than many other investors in bull markets :) I just meant the idea in general ... but genius traders do exist :)

In Bull markets, investors rule ... In Bear markets, traders rule ... full stop :) Good Trading !

Oh well ... I think we were right on May 30 to start a thread discussing the DOW crash :) with primary targets ALL hit ... Any more tips as where we could be heading from here ? P.S. I guess by now we all know what happens to NASDAQ when the DOW and especially the S&P crash :)

I suggest you always include an "I don't know option" in those polls ... it helps tip how many are currently out of it ... Good Trading !

Stress comes from losing money .. in a video game you throw the money in advance, play, enjoy and forget about it all ... in trading you throw the money in advance, and await to cash it back later with some profit .. when instead it starts eroding ... you can't avoid but getting stressed ...

This reminds me of a heavy smoker trying to quit .. let's see if you got some solid will :)

SicilianTM, That's true ... right now almost 81% have voted for a bottom ... and only 19% for "don't know/don't care" ... however, those 81% are almost equally divided between "currently bottoming", "bottoming in 1-6 months" and "bottoming in 1-2 years" ... which doesn't give any clue at all...
