    To say it another way, until 1145 you do not have a collection of 15min bars. You have a series of 15min bars with a 3min bar or a 7min bar or a 11min bar or a ... attached at the end. If your signals are based on 15min bars, you cannot use some other "loose" bar at the end of the collection...

    No - for the daily bar, your data provider provides a datum for the open-high-low- etc for the day. You do not take all of the individual data points and build the daily bar. Your data provider probably has a different symbol for RTH daily and Globex daily. JB

    Here I am to the rescue!! :) For 2004 and 2005, the average daily range for ES during RTH was about 11. If today's current range does not change, the average for 2006 is 12.3 JB

    Through last Friday, the average range for RTH is just under 12.5 points for calendar 2006. For both 2004 and 2005, the average range was about 11 points. JB Finally, a post from me with (limited) content. :)

    I wouldn't promise, this may be selective memory working, but I think the strongest move after the announcement is typically in the original direction, after the aforementioned reversal, and occurs 20 to 30 minutes after the announcement. But as JJ says, not always. JB
