Tradestation 2000i Displaying Day Session Only

Bubba- Spike and I have pm'ed about the two minutes before. Since our exchange, I have decided that it is only important if you are charting 24-hr and then probably only when you are doing tick charts, not minute charts. In any event, from my investigation, I do not believe the trades...

vol, A hip-hop trio. I assume the reference was triggered by the "goin' down" lyric you refer to occasionally (but a different group). And a big thank you to Wikipedia. :D JB

So 80% of the time you should exit after reaching 20% of your profit target? :) I don't think these are the specifics he is asking about. JB

What advantages does NQ over ES ?

 Through last Friday, the average range so far in 2007 during RTH for the ES is about 11. That times 50$ is 550$. Corresponding numbers for the NQ are 25.5 and (x 20$) 510$. That ratio (550/510) is about 1.08. The ratio was 1.37 in 2005, but nothing approaching 2.0. I...

Your trading software under Windows under Parallels on a Mac

This topic has been touched on in other threads, but people seem to have conflicting experiences. Giles and Jayford have different experiences under Parallels as noted over on Jayford's thread, for example. And the topic has been touched on in other threads, I believe. So I thought I...

Minimal - we are talking decimal places here. At the end of July, the average range for the ES during RTH was 6.28. It then declined continously until last week when it was 5.73. At the end of the day, it will be 5.76 or better. JB

Yes. This will be the first week since the last week in July where the YTD average RTH range increases from the previous week. Did that make any sense? :) JB

I fear I may have misled you. I live in a carehome on my meager pension. My children (who do not come to see me nearly often enough!!!) gave me this old computer to keep me busy. (For that matter, the nurses do not come around often enough either!!) So I don't trade at all. I just troll...

No, no. I have no conclusion at all! Romik says, "You can't jump the signal", and you say, "Yes, but sometimes I would make more if I did". I'm saying you have to measure it, keep a log (perhaps) of "early" trades. You cannot rely on selective memory. JB

It is a study you have to do. Based on the particular indicators and signals you use, what are the costs/benefits of anticipating a signal? But then have you added another rule and complicated your system and added stress to your life for some marginal gain? Like I said, it is a study you...
