Unfortunately the values in the United States has deteriorated something awful. This would not be particularly true in some countries. Women too often go into relationships now wondering what is in it for them rather than what they have to offer. Sad but true.

Went to a seminar and they sound pretty good. Granted it is self employment but they don't come across scummy like so many. Also, their quotas are non-existant until year 4 and even then reasonable. Thoughts? Thanks

Don't do it. You are nothing but a telemarketer. I guarantee your leads will be people that lost money OR expressed interest but never opened account despite being pounded to death by other "hot" sales people. Good luck.

CDE and GOOG are my favorites...I see a big % move coming in CDE.. I think GOOG will be volatile going into earnings announcement. Don't be surprised if they announce good earnings and stock tumbles.

You got it. It all pretty much sucks on the retail side. Try talking someone into $200 commisssions these days. Unless you are super well connected among the affluent, you are going to find working for a Merrill or Smith Barney impossible to meet sales quotas.

Edward Jones is a door to door salesman job. They want you to knock on doors literally. If you work in a small town, it may work. In a big city, forget it. People will slam the door in your face or worse, you will get bitten by some dogs. And I don't mean the Dogs of the Dow.
