The all-in-One trading terminal for Stocks, possible Bloomberg Terminal alternative

Regulated firms require oversight for compliance purposes....Whatsapp is the opposite of that.

Here we go... so they have all transitioned then.

The all-in-One trading terminal for Stocks, possible Bloomberg Terminal alternative

Are they that bad! They work OK for me (I am not a chartist though). Where do they disappoint (besides charts)?

Looking at it now, not overwhelmed really. OP has much higher ambitions it seems.

The all-in-One trading terminal for Stocks, possible Bloomberg Terminal alternative

that is very true, but I was under the feeling that the oil and gas (and shipping) guys have transitioned to Eikon... Eikon provides a free yahoo messenger plugin as well, to steal this client base I guess. And it free!

The all-in-One trading terminal for Stocks, possible Bloomberg Terminal alternative

Will do but what does it link to IB for execution?

The all-in-One trading terminal for Stocks, possible Bloomberg Terminal alternative

I say go for it. Bloom started loosing their grip in Europe. We ditched them for Reuters Eikon and have never turned back (Eikon messanger is open for all all and free, a still insignificant but growing threat to Blomm messaging). If you were to drill the Bloom Terminal down to 1 "Moat", it is...

    Arbitrage back-testing charting package

Perfect. The IB virtual security is what I was after. Do you know if one can update csv data to IB to work with that? And can Alerts be set on Virtual Securities?

    Arbitrage back-testing charting package

Interesting. Will look into this. Is it in TWS Mosaic or third party plugin?

    Arbitrage back-testing charting package

Not available for non-US residents it seems. Does anyone else use that "afl" charting engine?

    Arbitrage back-testing charting package

Not if you study in Europe. Studies are free, scholarships, research grants and living allowance. Now take a step back and breath. You have no idea what I trade or how I trade. Plenty of pointless assumptions you are making. As for dreaming, what is the point of life without dreaming. You may...

    Arbitrage back-testing charting package

Thank you, for the only relevant reply to my basic question. I will look into it. Good to converse with an "equally OK-sized and hqppy about it" fellow for a change.

    Arbitrage back-testing charting package

Who said anything about regressions? I am just looking for a yahoo finance sort of chart with more modularity.... As for your "my dick is bigger than yours attitude"... feel free to refrain from contributing if that's what you are here to proove. P.s. I have a PhD in econometics and did a...

    Arbitrage back-testing charting package

Let's put it this way: some guys trade, and others sell trading tutorials for $7,500 and earn referral fees to prop shops. Guess which box I belong to?

A friend has access to Bloom - are you referring to intraday price and volume data?

    Arbitrage back-testing charting package

I am looking at securities A, B and C (with C being an exchange listed derivative). Is there a charting package that would plot 2 lines: A and (B + 0.5*C) as in Half a C for every B and summed in line 2. In other word, some chart where I can apply a basic calculation formula. Free, if...

Interactive Brokers implemented order size filters

A question to you regarding More Leverage if I may: is there a possibility of borrowing more than what IB offers?

Interactive Brokers implemented order size filters

    1. Very Large orders are those orders whose order size is > 50% of ADV and > 15 times the average NBBO size for that contract (except for size-accumulating ALGO orders, see #3). 2. Large orders are those orders whose order size is > 10% of ADV and 3 times the average NBBO size for that contract...

    Hidden Limit orders

Are they less likely to be executed? And are smart routing algo's used by brokers "show" hidden orders to all exchanges (despite the fact that they are hidden)?
