    Card to support 4 monitors

I can vouch for amazon, they have a rock solid return policy. A radeon hd 7770 is an older card, but for the price it should work ok. Dual fan so it is going to run fairly silent I think for charting. Remember, you will need an active displayport adapter too, not passive, if your display...

    Card to support 4 monitors

Tiny fans die so fast on those cards, it must have died in like 3 months.

    Card to support 4 monitors

What he said :) And yeah, video cards are generally pretty hardy. I had a card I ran without a fan for years, tiny heatsink, was so hot you could you could literally get a burn from the heatsink, and it never had a kink or problem running like that. I gamed on it too. I figured when it died...

    Card to support 4 monitors

Note the amazon card isn't sold by amazon, but a third party seller, so be wary. The slim form factor card will fit a regular case, but not with the slim form factor mount on it, that mount is an inch or so shorter from end to end vertically on the mounting piece. So make sure they include...

    Card to support 4 monitors

If you are running that low of resolution, 1920x1080, you could also opt for usb video dongles, they 60 or so bucks for 2 displays each, up to a maximum of six displays via usb. The way I calculate it is cost per video output, so about $30 per output with usb, vs other options. As an...

most of them are 23" 1920x1080 screens, and a few are 21.5" 1920x1080 also. I don't know if it will be distracting, but it was cheap so I did it. :p

Three 30 inch monitors... is it enough?

I believe they also support higher resolutions, though I don't know what the limit is per cable/output.

Three 30 inch monitors... is it enough?

(speaking strictly dvi technologies) HDMI also supports the 2560x1600 resolution as well.

Video cards that takes 3 monitors

Typically the onboard video is disabled when you plug in an external card, by default, and you can't get around it. Have you looked at the Radeon HD5450's? They have passively cooled models. I ran one on a pci slot, and one on a pci express no problem.

Three 30 inch monitors... is it enough?

I know my 30 inch monitor will run on a single link cable, but it limits the resolution to 1920x1200 (I think it was) and looks really bad. As far a specifications go, the dual link is the only one that would support the 2560x1600 resolution as I understand.

Creative solution to install Win7 on new SSD, laptop

If the laptop is not detecting the solid state drive, that is a problem. Did you resolve that? Does the hard drive show up in the bios, if you check in there? If you could boot usb, which I see you said you can't, but there is software to mount the iso basically on a thumbdrive, and...

Three 30 inch monitors... is it enough?

I'm running dual link cables (because I happen to have them spare) on my 1920x1080 displays, and they seem to work ok. Did you make sure the dual link cable was ok, as in not damaged in some way?

I got them from ebay, search triple monitor stand and they should come up.

Three 30 inch monitors... is it enough?

As an update to my original post, I decided not to use three 30 inch displays, even though I did buy a third. I've changed tracks a little, and added some little monitors to my setup now. We'll see what I do in the end, but my pc can run up to 18 monitors, so no limitation on video outputs. :D

Little easier to see, just learned how to integrate images into a post after attaching it. I'd have integrated the first image I posted if it wasn't so big.

I was worried about that too, but it seems like they don't generate much heat as they are all LED displays. :)

    14 monitor setup

I just got the little displays, I ran into the problem with my bigger displays that it was hard to see the charts resized down to fit multiple charts on one screen. I like the individual displays per chart better, but it depends I guess on how many charts you run per display. Also, pixels per...

I probably don't need them, but it's nice to have a lot of displays. I may rearrange them to two high, as the top monitor is a little hard to see, and expand sideways. I'll have to add another desk if I do that though.

Well, I'm not trading yet but I just finished setting up a triple tall monitor setup. We'll see how it works out. Monitors were 130 each aside from the big monitors in the middle, and stands were 85 each, so fairly cheap to do this now. Graphics cards to run it weren't bad at all either, less...
