Actually SpeedTrader shows 9 futures platforms. And their quoted commissions ($1) are twice those of Deep Discount Trading (50 cents). I realize that you said they are negotiable. Actually even $1 is good compared to a lot of brokers.

I agree that Deep Discount Trading is great compared to paying twice as much for commissions elsewhere for inferior capabilities. However, do you find it to be a negative that you have to pre-specify the futures markets you want to trade and what quantities (for risk management purposes)...

I have never dealt with the firm itself but I like his book and weekly update and newsletter (the latter two are free on his web site) As the other poster says, they only want accounts over $150,000.

I have indeed seen cases where the settlement prices of out of the money options on certain stocks or futures were much lower than the prices at which they actually traded every day. Maybe anomalies is too strong a word in my part. I guess what one really needs is tradeable or exploitable...

On marks alone yes ......I do not think you can go by them 100% though, especially for out of the money options in illiquid markets
