Does anyone really learn anything about trading on ET?

CNBC is like watching a train wreck.You know it's bad but you can't turn it off. How many people have blown out their accounts taking advise from the "expert" talking heads they put on the show.

Last week someone posted that last Thursdays rally was a sucker rally. He was right. A lot of "chartologists" and TA'S on this site, including one on CNBC said you should be long according to the charts and indicators.

There are much better trading platforms for scalping then Scottrade.

Mark Can the simulator be downloaded without having to open and fund an account. Ninja Trader can be downloaded without funding an account and it also includes a free live data feed as long as you are trading on the simulator. Why should I fund an account just to test a simulator?

98% of traders fail? What about the traders that survive the steep learning curve the first year. I would think that the longer a trader stays in the game the failure rate would decrease. What is the failure rate of traders after the second,third and fifth year of full time trading...

Why do so many traders use Tradestation? What's the advantage of using them over other brokers. They seem to have numerous issues and complaints. I was considering opening an account with them but after reading several reviews I think I'll pass for now.
