Trading properly is SATISFYING & RELAXING

Trading boring? Not a chance. Working in a cotton mill is the definition of boring! :) I did that fresh out of high school many years ago and hated it with a passion.

Do You Have A Trading Plan, and Do You Know It Inside and Out?

I've been trading this one for over a year, with some tuning but not much. It's really a very simple method. I don't foresee it changing much if any over time. Unless something drastically changes, I see no need to alter it. It should work for years and years. There is no holy grail - it's...

Do You Have A Trading Plan, and Do You Know It Inside and Out?

Yes, and most of the time I stick to it (my self discipline is not yet perfect, may never be perfect). However, it must be a pretty decent plan. One way to find out if it's any good or not is to papertrade against it. When I papertrade against it to check it (realtime), it almost always...

    Why plans don't work

Learn to accept the risk of the losses (that occur in any trading plan) and trade either with that plan or a different plan or go find a regular job is what I'd have to do. If you doubt your plan, papertrade against it for awhile. If it doesn't kick your a$$, then look to either tune it or...

    back from the dead

Go for it gordon - like you said - you are young and single. Make your play. Set a daily loss limit for now = very small - and stick to it. So that you don't find yourself right back at 2k in one bad day of trading. Use discipline on your daily loss limit like your life depends on it. (of...

Appian Rushmore & PCI cards in general - trouble w/Pentium 4 systems?

I think that I remember reading here on ET a while back that it was the intel motherboard with the 850e chipset that didn't like the multi monitor (not specifically the Appian Rushmore) cards. Look back through the hardware pages or do a search, I'm sure it's in there somewhere. I don't...

    Daytrading Without Stops

I think I'll just keep cutting losses quickly. I can always get back in whenever I want to. If I widened my stops, I might end up wasting time and money making opportunties while waiting on the market. Besides that, several large losses in a row might just make me puke in the trash...
