    Interest Rates - Prediction?

Hey, didn't mean to attack you or anything, I didn't even see your post before I made my post, I just wanted to point out that FF have a different settlement than you might expect, and that would affect the way you'd look at the front month as an indication of fed movements. But I'm thinking...

    Interest Rates - Prediction?

Fed funds front month are weighted depending on how long they have left to expiration, so where M6 is trading on the 15th is not as true a picture of what the market thinks is going on than say, where M6 is trading the 1st of June, gets worse towards expiration. Not worth explaining the settle...

    Bund upswing

here's my opinion, for what its worth....Bund and 10 yr have had some nice rallies recently, U.S. equities have broke quite a bit. The flight to quality trade...equities break, fixed income rally's....but, keep in mind, if you were in equities last week and sold during the break, you could...

    Midnight rally

I was trading I.R. products when the spoos rallied a couple points last night. IMO, I don't think its anything more than some buying/selling that tips off some stops in a thin market. Just my 2 ticks. Trading I.R. products overnight, I usually watch the Bund, but its pretty wild, 10yr follows...

    This "edge" stuff

Anybody who really knows trading knows what an 'edge' is...but in case you don't, NTB just spelled it out here. Well put.

    Another one hangs it up

Cause it very nearly is for most. I'd be easily proven wrong if anybody could give proof of someone starting from very little (say their own stake, 20g or so) and making a good living, after taxes and fees, trading, self taught totally, for longer than maybe 3 years in a different market...

Day trading Future for a living ES YM NQ

Well said. I know a couple guys that made unbelievable money trading futures, I know a couple that grind it out. The nature of these markets are just that...if your in the right place, right time, right market, to make a fortune in a few years, you do and go into other things. Eh I guess...

Ever thought of leaving your job? Listen to my story, pro trading behind the scenes

If you want to do what I'm doing, i.e. get backed by a trader/group of traders and work a deal w/ your profits for the next few years, its not really as difficult as you'd think, if you are a real go getter and willing to move to chicago. Thats the key though, you gotta be near the exchanges to...

Ever thought of leaving your job? Listen to my story, pro trading behind the scenes

Just monster. Thats why it was so against the odds that I get a good call. It just so happened they weren't really 'good' at searching for people, they usually hired clerks that had been in the biz, but needed another when some other people backed out.

    Suicidal trader stories

Worst part of that movie...it was a poorly done Niezsche quote (almost as poorly as I just butchered his name). It was something closer to..."When a man stares long enough into the abyss, the abyss stares back at him..." Depending on translation....as well in some of his other books, "One...

you mean Goldman paid 5 on 100, right? Simply, you have to be good in a different way to trade on the screen. Several of the guys in my office were in the pit first, it just was a different world, they say.
