    Poker and the Beginning Trader

From the Twoplustwo forum: Sure seems a lot like learning to trade doesn't it. I read somewhere here the other day that one of the traders breakthroughs was learning to lose. ........................................... ........................................... Hi all, I just put...

    Most Profitable Style In Shorting?

I don't know, I always thought short was long upside down. I miss bullets. Even more, I wish they would do away with the uptick rule. Fat chance though.

    Will IB offer Forex?

Do you trade through the CME/Globex? Could you give an example of an FX futures trade with the symbols used? I looked over the IB site, but I am confused about how/where to find the appropriate symbols. Do you have a regular IB futures account? Or do you have to have a special type of...

    Poker and the Beginning Trader

Don't know about you guys, but I am finding more tough games on Party lately. I think the shark/fish ratio is getting less favorable quicker than we think. some days I can find a good loose game, but very agressive. Then I find a tight game, but aggressive. Having trouble finding the...

The Flip-A-Coin trading strategy and lessons learned from it

For the most part, an excellent thread. For my part, I have a definite positive EV playing poker, but have yet to get a true handle on stock trading. And I think the reasons are related to the things discussed here. In poker, (holdem), there are very definite signals to enter a "trade"...

FIVe sec refresh on Open Book

Whoo..whoo.. I'm Real impressed. What would be the matter with the book being real time? If the orders are there, put them on the book, if they are bought/sold, then take them of the book. Besides, the thieving specialist don't necessarily update when they are supposed to anyway. Or...

    Briefing Com, keeping or not?

Just wondering how many folks are going to pay up for Briefing Com. I just sent them my cancelation. I think the "new" service is just a sham way to get a price increase. And I think it was underhanded. The only thing I ever really used was the "live" In Play, which was not very live...

    Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

My opinion is that the reason the Naz looks so different is that the fills ARE instantaneous. No specialist to slow things down. The NYSE looks slow because the specialist is gumming up the works with all this holding, supposedly matching up, orders, and of course giving "price improvement"...

    Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

Thank you Don for the kind offer, but I have a day job that prevents me from going anywhere or doing much except for the first hour. I ain't "losing it", it is doubtful I ever "had it"... :p Bullets, of course, have nothing to do with opening orders. My beef with opening orders is that...
