For months if not years IB has a huge bug with option charts which they are not solving. there is missing data that keep on changing and customers end up with wrong impression movement. for months if not more i'm chasing them to fix it but they don't. last encounter i had with them i was...

option charts was always patchy. one of the bugs i reported months ago to IB and they did nothing. today i noticed that with AMZN weekly 1250 call charts(missing bars, then the missing bars is ok but previous ones that was ok is patchy etc)

I'm pissed as you are, but i want to wait and see their reaction to that fiasco, my ticket is open and i'm waiting for their response. BTW who can compete with IB with their execution prices and commissions?

BTW as a broker, even though i'm really pissed with IB right now, they are very good, they give you the best executions and prices. There big problem is the system which is Java crap. i found them loads of bugs during the years and they don't seems to care, there development department is abysmal.

The system is back up and working few minutes after market closed on Friday

I'm aware of that and still IB have a liability when their system fail. they can sign you whatever they want but the law not necessarily take that as words carved into the rock.

so a car company sell me a car and sign me on agreement saying i'm driving at my own risk and then the breaks fails they are not responsible? i doubt it.

Hey, till this minute IB market data is down for almost 2 hours which cost me money as i'm an option trader. i had open position on SPX that was up last time the system was up and now probably evaporated. Is there anything i can do to claim a compensation apart from those useless IB tickets...

unless you see this thing going above $70 then maybe sell the $70 call for June 2018 and buy a put spread as protection or even wide BF around $25 with the money

it's hard to give you a different play when there is so many details missing in your play. where do you see this share going to? up/down/fluctuate.. where is your SL? where is the TP?

the calls worth 4.39 X then initial position and you get vertigo? either you lost a lot on other position or your initial trade was out of proportion compare to your account. either way just trim the position if that is the case
