    Trading from Koh Samui ?

The problem with KS is that the infrastructure has not kept up with the pace of development. There are frequent power cuts and water shortages, and you can guess what is flowing down the main street after every, frequent, rain fall. Disgusting.

Having just received my CIS package I am starting to build the portfolios with market scanner. Is there a general rule of thumb regarding what the minimum average volume of a stock should be before it is classified as liquid. Any help here appreciated.

    No contact to Quote.com possible

I hope you have better luck with the CS at quote.com than I had with esignal. They are very quick to deduct money from your credit card, but refunds are processed manually, and take many weeks unless you get very aggressive with the support desk, which I did, and funnily enough the refund was...

I just opened an account at ThinkorSwim. Moving from OptionsXpress

Just briefly checked out Optionsmart site. The profit/loss ratio seems a bit favorable to the downside. Q4 2005 on the buy call service, 4 winners of 3,6,6 and 2% respectively, but 4 losers of 62, 39, 84 and 86%. There did not seem to be any winners even close to the losing percentages...

Agree. I just wish I had this religious power to turn all my losses into 60% winners, and that I could cancel stops even after they had been filled! It's a rare talent. (P.S. Are we allowed here to name the services that look like snake oil saleman, or is that not allowed?)

I just opened an account at ThinkorSwim. Moving from OptionsXpress

I have just taken a free trial to one of the Autotrade services offered. Am more than a little confused as to how they operate. They admirably state :- "Option Trading Rules for XXXXXX. 1. Stick with stops. Let winners run and cut losers early. " I look at a current position:-...

List of 5 Traders Worth Studying

Fully agree, but if you have a site offering a trading service to subscribers should that site not be bound to be totally honest about exactly what it is selling? Or am I being naive in this financial jungle where honesty is as rare as the proverbial hen's tooth?

I just opened an account at ThinkorSwim. Moving from OptionsXpress

I am in the process of opening an account with TOS, and have so far been impressed with their customer service and the speed of the replies to my queries from Scott. Has anyone had experience of their Autotrade facility? Some of the claims made by the companies involved seem a bit incredulous.
