Used to love reading thread,

We all use Fibs in different way to make money/profit /% per month, and from my own view watching the charts for years fibs can be used in may way retrace / extensions / counter trend so many ways to skin a rabbit ,they ,,the strategies all work if the edge is good ,and you are disciplined...

Just applying ,and funding copy trade on IC markets .

Your right, crazy days in the uk, but fib trading still holding up.

As i cant precisely pick tops or bottoms,( who can) so my strategy is to scale into a trade at fib levels with a hard stop and TP. Obviously opposite to you. But we both make money,who cares.

Probably wrong using average,i meant scale in to the position as part of the strategy.

Thank you for your explanation, can i ask do you average into a position at agreed fib levels,averaging your position away from your tp, and use a hard agreed stop, and tp ? Off subject , holidays in country's around the world make so much difference to trading setups as today. I am based in...

Hi sun trader, can i ask why you took your level from the second high? also why was it the correct way.

I have my personal standard fib levels/ratios set up on my indicator tool for trading eurusd and us500 the only difference is the time frame for trading each. If you only trade fibs as i do,you only have to look at a chart to see the set ups.

Andy you say you have done backtests and a little walking-forward and could not find an edge maybe Fibonacci levels is not for you.?

You say that you have back tested fib retracements ,can i ask what time frames you used also what fib levels.

I trade retracements, so i am a counter trend trader, i wait for a set up,if the set up suits my strategy i then enter the market.

Unsure what my RRR has to do with the conversation as with no proof we can all write what we wish. I have in the past traded xauusd but now i predominantly trade eurusd and US500

I am not saying Fundamental analysis does not have its place (we all trade with our personal edge / strategy) some trade long term,which is where i say Fundamentals pay a more important roll.(the bigger picture) joined with TA for levels. -Time and planning- But as a short term position trader...

If Fundamentals analysis trading works for some people thats fine, I've tried it but i couldn't make it work for me. News releases are constant as are speakers and major events around the world which can change direction of your position on a sixpence.
