Hi ER2ers, A quick update on progress since the daily journal stopped at the end of October. In November there was no real change in performance, but I added a new element to the trading plan which has really started to pay dividends. It’s a 10min chart with a new data feed that runs...

BSAM, Not really a stocks person myself....but have a look at the ER2 future contract it rocks. I thought it was going to be a quiet Xmas week with a dull trading range .....boy was I wrong - some nice action for the patient. Cheers

I trade from the UK and usually get back from work at 6:30pm (1:30pm US) - so I can catch the the afternoon session. I caught the ER2 slide yesterday sweetly. However, a lot of my main signals trigger at the open so there is a price to pay (at the moment). My view is that there are plenty...

I'm sure the more email Gerald Perez gets the earlier in 2006 we may get the IB offering !!

The IB UK MD of Sales told me. Makes perfect sense - its just a question of how competitive they are. Cheers J

Spot on......there is a constant 'arm wrestling' in my head between intuition and rational thought, fear & greed !!

The really good news is that the UK list will include Interactive Brokers in Q1 2006 :D

Both - the bread & butter plays are the mini-intraday reversals - the real risk/reward opps are the strong continuation signals at 10-60min TFs

I had a nice short signal from the open but that spike down was pretty wild. Maybe clearing out a few longs from the recent chop....

My top two: 1) Trying to short the market from March to June 2003 !! 2) Signing up for EWI services - the ultimate newbie mistake. Utter bollocks. Cheers J

I was in the no camp. Two reasons : 1) I only risk 1% of my trading capital on any one trade - I would need to have $3.2m to take this trade..... 2) 50% W/L is not good enough for my risk tolerance. I am in the 70-80% camp. Cheers J

Sammy I trade the ER2 future thru IB & trade the IWM thru my pension account in the UK.....sweet !! I use Esignal......I strongly recommend it but it isn't cheap. Good luck J

Hermit, Try Mark Douglas's Trading in the Zone book. A much better read IMHO than Elder and get into 'blackjack' mode !! Good luck J

Given my recent experience with the IB TWS, I think I'll leave it 3-4 weeks before upgrading to Ninja V5. Its the old 'bleeding edge of technology' argument for me everytime. Cheers

mtzianos, Just today is the problem. I've never had any issues before in last 6 months live. It's probably because I only trade 1 contract. Cheers

I've been having NinjaTrader/IB problems all day. When I place the NT order - I get a message 3-5 seconds after entry saying that the stops & targets have not been confirmed by the broker and the strategy has been cancelled. This has cost me 3.3 ER2 points so far today.......:mad:
