    Obama administration will announce nationalization

That would be my feeling as well. If it is true we will see a bounce but I don't think we are at the low point yet. If this is done but Brittan sinks under the waves at the same time, it may just be a wash

    Obama administration will announce nationalization

Good evening, Mr Mortgage is stating “Chatter has it that the Obama administration will announce something big this weekend. Some think this ‘something’ is the nationalization of some of the nation’s most troubled financial institutions vs. letting them suck every penny thrown their...

Madoff Son Mark Had $8.3 Million Worth in 1999

How sad, Madoff ruined so many innocent people and so many charities too. There is a special place in hell for a guy like this and those who helped him. I can’t understand how he is on bail. The French fellow who killed himself and these folks who are on the run. Even if Madoffs family...

Madoff Son Mark Had $8.3 Million Worth in 1999

I said it before that the biggest risk they may face is from investors from eastern Europe and South America taking it out on his family. All their wealth is a result of his fraud. If I were them I would change my name move away and hide. Worrying about the government regulators coming after...

If this doesn't sicken you, nothing will.....

His famliy is at real risk as they are not under arrest, or at least yet. There is no excuse for him not being in prison. I liked the other poster who suggested water boarding to get him to give up the location of the stolen money.

One Million Jobs Lost...Say It Ain't So

Your logic is very flawed. Paper loss in stock value does not equate to layoffs. If a stock loses 50% does that mean half the employees are laid off? If it goes up 100% does that mean they hire double the staff?

Did Walmart shoot itself in the foot?

Henry Ford gets some credit by paying enough money that he helped create a middle class that could afford his product. Walmart might get credit for helping wipe out that middle class. You would think that making more poor people creates more consumers for Walmart but if frugality sets in as a...

If this doesn't sicken you, nothing will.....

His big risk is his family. I know someone aware of a situation. Madoffs grandchildren are in school with classmates whose families have lost money on his scheme. It has not been hugs and kisses. I also doubt that some of the South American and possible eastern European folks who lost...

I remember when people did not perpetually lease or buy cars all the time.

I remember when people did not perpetually lease or buy cars all the time.

Mine is just turning 8 with 110k miles. It runs and drives as good as the day I picked it up. If you buy a decent car its good for at least 150k miles and or 10 years min.

Here Comes the Crash. Black Friday For Real

It won't happen this way. Bush will take the $ from the $700B. We are going to have a much slower death here so that the Republicans can blame this on the Dems. They will just kick that can down the road to the Obama admin.

    $207 million dollars!

A woman I work with son won over $90M in the lottery around 4 years ago. He ended up with around $29M after taxes. He was told to spend very little the first year as it would take a full year before he knew what his net was with all the taxes.

Why they were hiding the recession for a year?

The same reason gas prices go down at election time when the republicans are in control.

The end of perpetual auto leases, shopertainment, new tv sets every 3 years.

I previously liked to buy cars ever 4 or 5 years but not this time. I am on 8 years and I like my car better everyday. At 109k miles it drives as well as it did new. Cars just last longer now. Watch this. It is part 1 of 6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-dib6hSlcU Af-flu-en-za...

End of cheap oil. Going to 150 by feb/march.

The price spike was in response to speculators buying contracts that they could never take delivery on. If I buy a contracts and I don’t own a refinery, what am I going to do when it comes time to take delivery and no one will pay what I did?

    McCain looks nervous tonight

I think you are right. He knows he is a black man and has to seem extra calm. I am certain he could rip McCain but has to hold back. If the polls were reversed Obama would would be feeding on McCain's blood.
