Tunisia, then Egypt, now Yemen ....

US army and CIA should charge hefty fee for services to 'american interests' to pay for recovery in US. Now 'american interests' get free ride. Free protection from US army, cia - paid by taxpayer and accumulating profits overseas without paying taxes. :D

Are those who oppose outsourcing racist?

outsurcing is a bubble. unsustainable trend which has still a bit to run. Creating property bubbles, to mask lack of work can work only for a while.

    Australian housing bubble thread

funny, identical reasons quoted for CAD and GBP property markets. Why is that? Same course taken by salespeople ? At least GBP market is down close to 50% in AUD terms offering value due to AUD appreciation.

    Australian housing bubble thread

For Sydney and Melbourne... Lots of outsurcing firms temp staff keep renting pressure up. However, once jobs moved to India, renters will go and money these contractors made will go to indian real estate around outsurcing centres which are 1/10 of AU prices. People that have property as...

    Astrological Theory of Markets Cycles.

Great thread ! I use something related for my longerterm calls. Have one question though: why calls on GBP only ? If you reuse your calls on EUR (correlated and also geographically close) dont appear to work. One would expect this method works for all markets as participants receptors...

What is wrong with American companies.....let us/all count the ways...

these companies get protection from US army and CIA overseas. As they dont pay taxes, I predict these services will be cut soon (because quoted text above). These companies will become homeless & without protection. It is rough out there without protection, sooooo many people want money (tax)...

158,000 IT Jobs Sent Offshore in 2010

well, i think these are quite reasonable pays. if you dont have large debt and free basic health. Not sure this is the case in US. If you good and make 1-2k a month, whats wrong with that ? prices of everything will follow down. instead paying plummer 2000 a day, you will pay 200. But...

158,000 IT Jobs Sent Offshore in 2010

i think you exaggerate differential in pay. these people work thru it firms and these take 75%, give employee 25%. Add up these numbers in your case (which i think underestimated) and you get total cost range 20-48K. Add costs of training at the destination and rotation etc and cost is the...

158,000 IT Jobs Sent Offshore in 2010

whats wrong with competing with indians brazilians etc ??? their inflation is pretty high and must get paid more and 20 per hour is not such a bad pay. and there is only few good people wherever you go. If you good competition is just fine.

    Australian housing bubble thread

increase in prices in 2009 did not bring increased consumer spending as in previous swings, and therefore did not generate new jobs and increased profits and therefore new entrants in AU that keep pressure on prices/rents will not get jobs and this negates this perpetual process. People...

job market is grim, particularly if u r 50+

european model of maufacturing has proven better and more stable. Thats where skills and real craftmanship is valued. US style cowboy hire and sack (investment banking) destroys any valuable skills. Replaces by cheapest option ideally boosting borrowing. thats why there is no natural exports...

Should I take the leap and quit my job to trade full-time?

if you have unlimited urge to do it : 1. assume you will fail = do not close dors behind. 2. give yourself 3 months and target profit that is enough to live off. 3. if surpass the profit target, give yourself another 3 months and larger target corresponding with larger equity. 4. etc...
