Don, Does anyone trade futures with their own systems through Bright.....remote?

Have you ever looked at www.smartquant.com ?

www.smartquant.com is very good for testing out parameters of price action from the past and testing out new concepts that a trader is analyzing. There will probably never be a perfect or ultimate backtesting tool, but there are currently some excellent products to hone potential strategies...

www.smartquant.com tied to XTrader is the top of the line operation for automated trading imo.....much better data and order execution speeds.

Yes there are very good strategies and you do not need a single algorithm to have success.

I would NEVER use tradestation for anything, and I have never found their data feed to be up to par with other systems that I use, not even close. I have not used IB in over 7 years, so I do not have any recent experience with them......I will say that I see a lot of technical issue posts...

The last I heard, there was never any voice recognition software for order entry/exit that was able to process all the swear words it received!!!!!!!!!! :D That would be cool though!

I will say there are very excellent ways to make money in the currencies when price breaks out either side of a measured and backtested range. With the nature of the currencies to explode out of short term tight range periods, there are numerous times a month per currency to take advantage of...
