I went long gold and silver against USD this morning prior to the Fed announcement. The premise was simply that Summers' drop from contention meant that no tapering would be discussed. Did a bit over 80% on account due to >90% of net liq in initial req. Obviously this trade will not be marked to...

I was tired of Surfer's and annaland's sociopathic trolling, so I asked the mods to kill my atticus nick in protest. Now both Surf and Rodney King (aka annaland) have been banned. I'd like to keep the thread on the topic of trading and macro developments.

I am forming this repository for all delta1 and convexity trades that 1) are solely personal funds, are 2) listed products, with spot gold and silver as the exception. I am trading EU OTC and flex stuff now, but am free to trade and talk about US listed products. I was content to post...

    So, no taper!

Haha, I was long a 1700/1725/1750 weekly fly on SPX, so yeah, a bit. I was spoofed in email. Someone spoofed an elitetrader return header in Baron's name asking me to please leave ET. So clever, guys! (I'm Back!) and mofos I nearly doubled my spot metals account!

    So, no taper!

Went to limits of net liq on gold and silver at oanda prior to Fed. On the assumption that the loss of Summers reinforced the addiction to (-) real rates. Better than I could've imagined. I am going to sign off now (permanently). GL to all.

Sold Deep OTM Puts that Became Deep ITM - let it assign or roll over?

I trade some OPM in buy-writes and am constrained to stay in the equity position for tax mitigation. This often leads from a short put -> share buy through assignment -> bull synthetic straddle -> synthetic fly; or I'll often maintain the overwrite. There is nothing wrong with remaining married...

Go count your "small fortune" big shot. He's a troll who comes on here to berate guys who actually post entries and exits, yet won't be held to the same standard. It goes against him and he disappears and comes back in time to declare victory.

Sold Deep OTM Puts that Became Deep ITM - let it assign or roll over?

Yeah sure, depends on the broker.

Sold Deep OTM Puts that Became Deep ITM - let it assign or roll over?

You don't need to do all that. You're assured of assignment, so simply sell the call you'd like to use for the (new) CC. It should be the same strike that you're contemplating for the new short put.

lol you're under the impression that anyone gives a shit. Funny how you don't forget to post the covers on the winning trades, but forgot to post the massive losers.

Do Debit Spreads decrease your Delta exposure?

Sure, the delta is diminished by the wing of the vertical, but you're ignoring some aspects. You can increase size as the result the reduction in outlay, as well as reduce the theta (or be theta positive if both strikes are ITM). The vertical is less sensitive to vol than the outright (contract...

You stated 6-figs "in a month". You need some time to come up with the funds to cover the bet?
