    Struggling to find direction

Ugh the last few days have been difficult. In and out of trades that appeared initially good then failed by the end of the day. This week has been whip-sawing me around and forced me to go mostly cash. I honestly feel 50/50 chance tomorrow could be +300 or -300. Lack of direction is killing me!

Spain, Ireland `Thrown to the Wolves' After ECB Move

You money supply inflationists are funny. Interest rate hikes don't change the money supply directly, it's the underlining demand for money which changes the supply. :p

Ken Heebner: "We've passed the point of maximum (housing) distress."

Is he right about housing? Probably.. Is he right about the bottom in the economy? Doubtful but he didn't disclose any positions who who knows what he's actually doing.

The street is very bullish 07-07-08

the early morning gap up, and collapse mid-day ruined the bounce IMO. Too much unknown, too much scared money, oil comes down 2-3% and the market falls...

    VLO's stock...

So what's the deal with vlo? There isn't much news on them and their revenue estimates have been slashed multiple times for both 2008 and 2009. Even with lower estimates they're still trading at 7.xx 2008 eps and 5.xx eps for 2009. I would invest, but that chart is nasty and the revenue trend...

    coal stock r punished

Why wouldn't the start using natural gas, which is trading at a discount relative to oil and the cost isn't appreciating nearly as fast? it's hard to take any financial group's analysis of anything for how wrong they always seem to be, even with their own balance sheets...
