I have to disagree with this, I put stops on short positions because you never know if something pops. I'd brather know my stop would be executed than holding onto a losing position that may get worse
Cause its a stable job with stable pay - don't have to worry about losing money cause it an't your money :D - probably sleep a lot better at night than holding positions with your own money - especially in the economic condition we are in right now
well China's economy is going to surpass us at some time at the rate their economy is growing. The world is a lot more connected now. I think we are helping ourself and helping them.
good advice - probably another one is don't be scared to take a loss ... some people see a stock tank and lose 10% and then hold on and lose more - I have personally done this before myself when I was new and it sucks! lol
can you explain to me how this was text book? I thought earning plays were all a bet because it could go either way depending on the company's earnings.
just be prepared to lose a lot of money before you make your money , most likely lose 50% your first year. Odds are against you in trading when your a newbie

You said you made 25k last year and your down 23k now, just think of it as you made 2k gain in the last year- just take the 2k gain and stop trading cause it seems like your starting to bet as opposed to trade.
pattern day trader , you have to have at least 25k in the account and you have access to more margin. For my broker with a PDT account you can use 4x margin.
