I'm curious what makes you say it's good for futures but not "rapid fire stock trading".... The issues withttws that effect the equities side effect the futures side no?

Mainly its complaints about TWS that never get resolved. At least for me. As for the original poster of the thread I dunno

You're saying the charts scaling at uncontrollable speed as you slide an order and in turn making your order move uncontrollably making where you drop it unpredictable ISN'T a bug? Lol... Ok... Good luck to you then lol

You don't understand... The charts scale to fit and display all your orders. There's no way to disable this. And then as you slide an order around it scales the chart. So you get this weird and the dangerous exponentially scaling chart that scales faster as you move your order

This is a huge oversight in functionality on IB'S part. Why in the hell would you scale the chart as I'm in the middle of sliding an order around?

Is the beta for internal testing only or can outsiders give it a go?

Looked into Motivewave. But you can't have custom hot keys for placing orders which makes it a no go

You guys don't have the ability for hot keys with order sizes. Pretty much a necessity for day trading

Does it run any better under Linux? I'm running into charts taking forever to load, or just not loading. Intraday vwap indicator line being wrong, and even different between different charts of the same stock, tws not registering keystrokes when typing in a ticker, and many other annoyances

TWS definitely needs to be improved. So many annoyances and glitches. No matter how powerful your system its performance does not improve. Yes IB is a great broker. But when your front end piece of software that people use to interact with your services is so frought with hiccups and...

Agree. But I'd add coupling IB with DAS as your front end is the best combo. If your short biased and like hard to borrow though sort of stocks then IB isn't for you as you can't do Locates. I hear Centerpointiis good for that

That would defeat the purpose of my getting 4k monitors and lessen my screen real estate. Not gonna do that. A trading program shouldn't tax a video card trying to push those pixels
