That doesn't seem to be the case because I've done experiments with that. One chart with pre market on and one with off. They'll be displayed differently. But then once I manually refresh the chart that's off it'll snap the vwap line into the correct spot. If it were true the calculations were...

The any two points in time is the same on the 1min chart and the 5 min charts displayed. So Why then are they displayed different? And the quotezone vwap is, as far as I know, supposed to be the same two points in time as the intraday vwap on the charts. So why the discrepancy not only...

I know it changes. What I'm saying is that the VWAP line/value is the same and should be displayed the same no matter if on 1 min, 5min, or 15min charts. The VWAP line shouldn't be different on different time frame charts

It's time frame agnostic as far as how it's displayed. A 1 day vwap, which is the vwap setting for all the charts in the picture, isn't displayed differently based on the time frame of the chart its on. It's calculation is based on price and volume, nothing to do with the timeframe of the chart...

The vwap calculations aren't bar based. So doesn't matter of showing 1min bars or 5min bars. Yes there is a time setting. But in this case the setting is the same between the vwap indicators on all the charts. And that is 1 day vwap. A 1 day vwap on a 1 min chart is the same as on a 5 min chart...

I know lots of people have dual chartting and execution platforms. But for me personally I find it super annoying to have to type in a symbol twice into two separate programs. And more importantly not be able to visually track my trades. So for me having separate charting is a no go

I have never heard/seen a version of vwap that was different between timeframes. It's a one day intraday indicator based on trades. Time has nothing to do with the calculation. The quote zone number is accurate and lines up with the vwap on think or swim and tradingview. No idea what craziness...

Double check what exactly? And it's a intraday vwap. Based off that one days trades

The vwap indicator is timeframe agnostic. Or it's supposed to be. It's a 1 day vwap so should be same across all time frames. Based off the current days trading

I don't feel like being berated and made to feel like it's my fault. Or told to totally delete my config file and rebuild my whole setup from scratch as if somehow a user is able to make these indicators misbehave

Huh? The vwap is constantly changing. Soon as you draw a horizontal line it'll be different a minute later

Is IB EVER going to get the intraday VWAP indicator right? This has been an issue since they introduced it and numerous tickets and talks with support about it and always just ends up "Forwarded to the developers"....developers who I dont know what they actually do. Updates all the time to TWS...

Sorry...missread and thought you were saying the 4x per second was wrong...but you were just referring to FX and options. My bad

It says right there... 250ms frequency. That's 4 times a second. The time and sales isn't tick by tick either. It's aggregated

All you guys are avoiding the point that this glitch is something that shouldn't happen. I get this sometimes as well. Not sure what causes it. Happens even when candle widths are automatic. I also have issues with intraday vwap just not being accurate. And even different between different...

There are data feed issues as far as charts loading and updating in a timely manner. Experienced it again this morning with charts hanging and and slowly loading (or not loading at all) certain time frames.
