Anyone have some recommendations on sources on Elliott Wave? I've found these on google: http://books.google.com/books?q=elliott+wave&btnG=Search+Books I also found the original "The Wave Principle" by Elliott. Online sources are fine as long as they are high quality, but I have already...

    EUR/JPY Evening Trader

Had to end this train wreck early. Only traded for an hour and a half, but it was a disaster. Took three trades, which were all losers. I closed two of them simply because a few minutes later the reason why I entered no longer made any sense to me. The last one was just wrong. Total lost...

Oanda. Don't have the account minimum ($3,000) for IB. I also have TOS on my computer and Ninjatrader with a Gain connection, although their spreads are much higher (usually for TOS, its fixed spreads are often lower in illiquidity, but I do everything with Oanda anyway)

I have. My current pairs I keep on my charts are the EUR/USD, EUR/JPY, AUD/USD, USD/CAD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, EUR/AUD, EUR/GBP, EUR/CHF, and GBP/CHF. I have taken trades on many pairs besides the CHF, as I am often impressed with their spreads but haven't gotten a feel for its movement...

It's not available from the libraries, and I don't have the money for it right now, but I will keep it bookmarked for another time. I appreciate the suggestion.

    EUR/JPY Evening Trader

A very exciting week for me! I should have very easily eclipsed 40 hours for the week for the first time in three or more months, and it is the first time in that period that I feel so completely overwhelmed with everything I've learned that I have no idea what I did yesterday -- the kind of...

    Is this a Gartley?

The wick at D is up to the 1.382 while the closes are right at the 1.272 (Gartley projections according to another one of my references). The final down move ends at the 1.618 of AB (in addition to 1.272 of XA) That is my last comment, otherwise I'd be analyzing this and going nowhere all...

    Is this a Gartley?

Reading a message from another trader just answered that the .50 retrace of XA does still count as a Gartley. So is it just the .50 and .618, and also does it still work with the pattern completing at .786 (give or take...)? The other questions are still valid as well. Very intriguing...

    Is this a Gartley?

And there's the perfect 1.272. Ignore the rest of the retracements, TOS puts them so that they would be an extension off of a reverse of XA (as in I have to draw bottom to top in order to show downward extension here), not sure why.

    Is this a Gartley?

Ok new question (and this is a good one). Ok, I have a 1 hr chart of the Euro-Pound attached. Bat specifications (according to Suri Duddella's book): AB= 0.5 XA ... Check AB=CD ... couldn't have made that up any better AD=.886 XA - no, actually .786 Gartley Specs: AB = 0.618 XA...

    EUR/JPY Evening Trader

Ok, good time for a summary anyway. I have been trading 10,000 units of every pair pretty much (equates to $1/pip approximately overall with USD). I am in Maryland, and have traded mainly Asian session (approximately 6:30-10:30 eastern is what I target). I do often watch and try to trade...

I stopped using them for now in order to concentrate on pure charts without indicators really. I like to put them on the chart because I can see their reactions much better to them on lower timeframes, as well as calculating the midpoints and such. Thanks for the link for when I get back to...

Can anyone reflect on the differences in the chart pattern sections of Trader Vic's two books? Thanks Edit: The pages are conveniently not in google books' preview, so I will check out the first book from my library. Does the second add/extend anything important? Worth my time at all?

Spent a bit of time just looking for new resources. Made some good progress with books and found my next targets there, and also thought I would share this site. Apparently, Bulkowski is more than a little bit obsessed with what he does -- all the power to him. All in all, a great research...

I did send a message to my college adviser (apparently library itself doesn't have email help I guess) asking if they have access to the worldcat program, but I don't expect to hear back for a bit.
