Good day, but not as good as the prior three days. Booked a personal record $103k for the week (and didn't trade Monday due to data problems). Today's numbers: $13,519 on 684k shares

    Activate/Deactivate System?

As I probably mentioned earlier in the thread, I prefer to have at least 30 trades before using the formula for statistical significance. However, to answer your question => Yes, based upon your data, I would certainly be happy to activate the system you describe. Obviously, going forward...

Pretty awesome day. My second best day in history, and a record for shares traded in one day. Each day this week just keeps getting better than the last. +$44,600 on 1,112k shares on 5854 executions.

    Every share has a buyer?

Don't confuse yourself. Trader "A" covered his short by buying. When Trader "A" covered his short by completing a trade opposite Trader "B", Trader "B" had to be a SELLER, not a buyer. So, as the price went back to 25, Trader B lost the same $5 per share that Trader A profited during the...

Another excellent day with the great volatility. A near record day for me for volume, with 817k shares traded on 4300+ tickets. Great two-day end to an otherwise poor month. I hope the volume and volatility will last another week or more before the slow markets return.

Great day here, best since last July. I love the return of some volatility and expect tomorrow to be excellent as well. That said, I am cherry-picking with my posts here, as I was just shy of b/e MTD before today.

    lowest fees black box trading

Based upon the P&L thread, I believe Genesis might offer a fixed $1 per ticket rate for some traders. They should be worth at least contacting and asking. Their technology is outstanding, but their customer service is unfortunately really bad. As a result, you might find it difficult to get...

Deal or No Deal? - The game

I don't like the show, either. The game show is the equivalent of the Jerry Springer show. That said, I would sometimes see 5-10 min of the show while channel surfing and laugh at the mathematics of the show. I've always thought that the 'right' way to play the game was simply to take any...

ARCA Proactive vs NSDQ Proactive. Which is better??

You are correct. NSDQ proactive is a better route. In addition, take a look at EDGX proactive for even cheaper pricing and better average executions. Note that my experience is with trading Nasdaq stocks not NYSE.

Pretty slow volume this past week, slowest of the year. But it seems that the really ugly trades are coming less often, which is welcome. Past several days since last update: 1/19: $3381 on 336k shares 1/22: -$577 on 311k shares 1/23: $1280 on 299k shares 1/24: $3860 on 292k shares...

$1 million lottery ticket for sale

I'm skeptical about the story as well. However, if true, there are firms that make a business out of dealing with clients such as this. JG Wentworth is one such firm that advertises on television. Their commercials seem slimy to me, but they can be used to get a rough approximation of the...

Why do you trade your own moneyy?

I agree with Ripley. I don't want to pay 80% of my profits to someone else. In addition, OPM means headaches of dealing with investors, which is avoided by trading your own money. Most importantly, trading OPM means finding a way to generate good returns on vastly greater amounts of...

Pretty happy with the past two days, considering my trading usually sucks during uptrending days. Now, need a good sharp selloff to really get the month rolling. +$4767 on 440k shares

Relatively quiet day here. I ended up toying around with some manual trading to keep from falling asleep. Fortunately, today the manual stuff outperformed the automated systems. +$4950 on 381k shares
