    2022/2021 Tech Bubble Thread

CAPE was only at alarming levels in mid-late 2021. Long opportunities in 2020 would still have been abundant. I don't base most of my bearish sentiment on the CAPE, but rather there has been a lot of irrational exuberance in 2020 and 2021, and it seems like it had gone too far. From Rivian, a...

    2022/2021 Tech Bubble Thread

Hi everyone. I can confidently say that this recent drop in the NASDAQ is some sort of tech correction. It isn't quite clear if this will be a dotcom-bubble magnitude crash, or if it will recover. The earnings in the next weeks should give a rough idea. There seems to be so much going against...

    Black Swan Hedging

In Nassim Taleb's book 'The Black Swan' he explains that there are many events, such as the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks or the Coronavirus Pandemic that cannot be easily predicted, but still have massive effects on the economy or politics. That being said, I would like to hedge against these events...

Goldman Says Manchin Just Damaged the U.S. Outlook

Boo hoo hoo, the US just avoided spending trillions of dollars while having a 100+% debt to gdp? Sounds like good news to me. If I were in WV I would re-elect Manchin 10 times out of 10.

    Inverse Jim Cramer?

I know these are cherry-picked, but still, a good portfolio shouldn't have THIS many losers. Has Jim Cramer lost his edge, or does he cave into the new SPAC/IPO hype like the rest of the market? These all seem to be hype stocks that could have avoided, just by using a little common sense.
