    Gold is the Next Bubble

The *DEBT* is T.H.E. bubble of ALL times. It can *NEVER* be repaid. The people buying gold have figured out that the emperor has no clothes. Gold is just money...

A new bubble is being formed?

Its good that nobody but me sees that its the debt that is the bubble. Better sell your gold and oil, then...

A new bubble is being formed?

The bubbles have and are being blown in government debt and the value of the treasury bonds. When that bubble blows, the dollar will collapse, just like so many paper currencies before it. I don't see any way it can be avoided at this point, its just a question of when. PS: That is why...

Everytime I think I've seen the top, it goes higher anyway.

    Pictures of your trading stations

If I put a row above, they might get too tightly spaced because to read them, they would need to be angled down. The 2nd row is already overlapping a bit because of that, but they needed to be closer to read. I guess to do it, another mounting rack similar to the 2nd row's could be attached...

I think you will find they all need to be aimed at you or the colors wont look right.

    Pictures of your trading stations

Its already pretty far to read the 2nd level. They can't be too far away or they will get hard to read. Also, you would need to make sure you wouldn't be straining your neck to look up like that. I guess if you didn't have a desk, and the other 2 levels were lower, it might work. In all...

    Pictures of your trading stations

Ok, here is mine. The system is 18 screens total, 2 high, shaped like a "C" so the pic sees the back of the 2 on each end, and you can't see the 2nd pair on each end at all in the pic. All told, there are 17 22" LCD's + the one 17" laptop LCD. There are 2 maxxed memory, overclocked Core2...

Taking 410K to 4million by Year End 2010

I think you might have been better off trying to make 20 or 30% for the year and actually doing it or making 10 or 15% instead of risking swinging for the fences. Looks like both your automated and discretionary systems don't work. I wonder what's different between what you backtested and...

Actually, what´s the target of FED´s policy now ?

The target is to debase the dollar and devalue the debt faster than it is being piled up. If the dollar is not devalued, unemployment will get even worse.

What did the Fed say or do to cause the deleveraging?

http://www.ritholtz.com/blog/2010/09/exploiting-bernanke/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed:+TheBigPicture+(The+Big+Picture) There is a lot of it there... IMO, next Fed meeting (after the election), I think they will notice that many commodities are at all time...

How about this correlation: Food Stamp Participation vs. USD index

The chart is deceiving, comparing a few years of one number to 40 or 50 years of the other. Totally idiotic chart, doesn't allow anyone to see if there is or isn't any correlation...

    Deflation-stealth in '08 shows face in '10

I think in this case, we are working with fiat currency, as in paper dollar promises, not money, like 20 dollar gold pieces, and so this time, they are trying to debase the currency as fast as the credit bubble deflates, in order to try to maintain nominal asset values and prevent deflation in...

What did the Fed say or do to cause the deleveraging?

If you recall, they raised rates 1/4 point at a time, many, many times, even though the economy basically sucked except homebuilding and associated housing/credit bubble. IMO, the mistake was creating the bubbles, not popping them... But, given all the nasty news late 07 into 08, why did...

What did the Fed say or do to cause the deleveraging?

No, not a joke. Just trying to put together the overall sequence of events, and get them in perspective in order to see what "tells" there might have been. If you happen to know of a chronological summary of actions and events posted someplace, that would help a lot.

What did the Fed say or do to cause the deleveraging?

Oil went to $140 Goldman came out with a $200 number Gas prices were going to the moon And then the deleveraging began...... And the crash..... I assume the Fed said or did something in reaction to what was perceived as the beginnings of hyperinflation. But I don't recall them...

Deflation followed by hyperinflation is coming.

Ummm, sorry, but we ALREADY had the beginnings of hyperinflation a couple years ago. Remember oil going to was it $140 a barrel? And the Fed reacted, causing the deflationary crush that sent the economy into a tailspin. I bet we see that commodities zooming situation again in the next...

Deflation followed by hyperinflation is coming.

When the Fed senses the QE pumps (being used to try to prevent deflation) are pushing us into hyperinflation (loss of faith in the dollar), they will either pull the plug on the QE or hike rates, or both. My thought is Greenspan is saying that the price of gold is the canary in the coal mine...

Where's the inflation? US CPI unexpectedly drops 0.1%

The birth/death adjustment added about 2 million jobs during the months of 2009, which were included in the numbers those months, and cheered by all. At the end of the year they were all quietly adjusted out, just like the year before. I do actually think the economy is generating jobs, now...
