What could possibly kill gold? Name one

The point is that they could temporarily take it down to low $1300's to scare people out of it, but somewhere there, they will need to cover before the rest of the world decides gold its too cheap. Considering that every day, the value of the dollar is being destroyed another $5 to 7 billion...

The final collapse of the US dollar it is just around the corner

Thanks. I think time is very, very short for the dollar, too. With each crisis there has been a panic INTO the dollar as everyone bailed out of stocks, bonds, etc. But after each crisis the dollar seems to fall further because fewer and fewer people are trusting it as a long term store of...

What could possibly kill gold? Name one

It would take the heat of a sun and a fusion reaction, I would think

What could possibly kill gold? Name one

In reality, I think everyone is looking at gold from the wrong perspective, because its been that way all of our lives. I am actually just BEARISH on the value of global debt and confetti paper money. The supply of both are going up at parabolic rates. Short term, no, gold prices can...

What could possibly kill gold? Name one

The absolute BEST mines on the planet are $500. Goldcorp, for example in Red Lake Ont. Cash cost under $300, but add the cost for the mine and depletion, and overhead, and I bet you are around $500. BTW, don't believe the coproduct/byproduct mining costs, where they mine copper and get gold...

What could possibly kill gold? Name one

Take a look at GSS most recent financials, for example. Their avg grade is probably 2 or 3 gr/ton, double what some newer mines will be. As time goes by, the higher grade mines are mined out and that leaves the lower grade deposits that had been previously passed by. And as the cost of energy...

What could possibly kill gold? Name one

You do realize that they are stripping, and then after digging that, they are digging, hauling, and processing 30 tons of ore now to get 1 oz of gold. Its very capital and energy intensive. Just a tire for a truck is $10,000 to $20,000 each, let alone buying a truck or feeding it fuel. Cash...

Silver going to $40-$45 in the next month.

I don't feel so bad. Lasting from $12's and $13's till now was a pretty good run. I take profits when I hear cheering.

What could possibly kill gold? Name one

Hyperinflation is not like inflation because its not a gradual rise in prices/devaluation of currency. Instead it is a loss of confidence in a currency proceeding from a banana republic like we have now, to and ending in a complete panic out of a currency, and its typical cause is money...

What could possibly kill gold? Name one

With the government owing $14+ trillion, they can't increase rates to 7 or 8%. Real inflation is at least 5 or 6% currently, I'd bet.

They doubled the margin requirement a week or 2 ago. It had no effect this time.

Silver going to $40-$45 in the next month.

From the looks of things this morning, I didn't do too bad selling yesterday at $35.98 either. I saw it had gone up maybe 20 cents after that, but its real difficult to catch tops for me. I almost always sell way too early

Silver going to $40-$45 in the next month.

No, I think it went up another 20 cents after that, and then fell off, at least on the futures it did by the time I got back to my screen. I don't have a chart of bid/ask for spot, so I watch the futures to decide generally when to buy or sell. When I sell, I get the asking price for spot plus...

Silver going to $40-$45 in the next month.

I sold 1/3 of mine at 36.50 yesterday. I'll redeploy the cash and profit into miners that are beaten down, I think.

Policy makers trying to come up with a way for states to declare BANKRUPTCY!

Its pretty obvious that no matter how high taxes are raised that the pensions promised can never be paid, because the higher they go, the more likely anyone with money will leave.... That doesn't leave any other option.

    Gold is the Next Bubble

Yes, its like CONFETTI anymore. Nobody EARNS money, they just GET it from the government, it seems, who somehow sell bonds to the Fed to raise it. And yes, I'd agree, its the value of the PAPER that's the bubble, not gold. Gold just IS.
