    Seeking Alpha

I've read a lot of bad reviews about IBD as a service, like they lock you into their trial offers with a contract, any experience with this? How is IBD?

    TA vs FA

The known fundamentals are already priced in, so in a way you're studying the fundamentals when you study a chart. One of the best aspects of TA is that sometimes stocks move wildly for an unknown reason, but at least you can see the price changes taking place and gain insight from them and...

    Do You Actually Enjoy Trading?

Thanks. It's true, if you can't make money doing it, it just makes you frustrated, questions your passion for it. In all honesty, though, I'm very early in the trading cycle, I just started trading this year for real (with real $$$), and have been taking some really low dollar risk bets. I...

    Do You Actually Enjoy Trading?

Hadn't thought about this, but definitely a good thought. I may be the opposite and futures might suit me more than stocks. But only time will tell. Preciate it.

    Do You Actually Enjoy Trading?

I really don't know. Unlike others, I've never been truly obsessed (in the good way) about a field of work. It could be I just don't give things enough time and don't plan well. Before I got into finance and trading, I was learning how to program for months. I found it decently enjoyable and...

    Do You Actually Enjoy Trading?

I appreciate all of your responses. Glad that many of you genuinely enjoy trading and the analysis behind it. Ultimately, I think I just need a break and take things down a notch. Re-charge the batteries. It's still unclear to me whether or not trading is something I'm meant to be doing, but...

    Do You Actually Enjoy Trading?

You know what, you're probably 100 percent right. I know this isn't a place for venting, but I have been feeling overwhelmed lately. I feel like I can't relax or have fun without working first. It just feels undeserving to have fun without a good days work. And I don't even know how to have...

    Do You Actually Enjoy Trading?

Do you enjoy trading or are you mostly in it for the money (be it a side income or full-time)? What's the motivation behind your trading? Do you love the concepts and the process associated with it? I ask because while I often think to myself that I like the process, and enjoy learning, I...

Credibility of CANSLIM and William O'Neil

I don't think he kept most of his yearly winnings into his account, like Livermore he withdrew a ton of it and started from a fresh base again. Don't quote me on this, but I think this is the case. Keeping all that new money in the account causes a lot of sizing and liquidity problems.

Credibility of CANSLIM and William O'Neil

Yeah, I haven't gotten around to Minervini's books yet, even though I have them, too busy focusing on O'Neils book. I respect Minervini a lot, he's definitely legit and explains his thinking well. I've been placing some low size practice trades here and there with real $ using the CANSLIM...

Markets/Instruments that better obey to TA

Best explanation I've seen of someone who even believes in TA is that in stocks for ex: The big companies, mega-caps, TA doesn't work too well and price is more random because there are so many eyeballs on the stock, including every analyst you can think of covering it, and therefore there's so...

Happy New Year! Trading goals, resolutions?

Happy new year to you all. Here's to a great 2023 in health and in trading. Resolution this year is to...once the conditions are right, finally put down some real $$$ and actually trade (position-stocks). And in the meantime probably day trade some commodity futures.

    Rockwell Trading (Marks Heitkoetter) BUSTED!

Preferably under a non-partisan bureau segment of the govt, though exec branch has some influence it's true. Still think it needs to be done.

    Increase Energy Levels?

I don't mean to be that guy, but I don't know if you meant by level the different types (Type 1 vs Type 2), but yeah there's really no level to it, only how bad the different types of diabetes have become in one's current situation. Type 1 is the insulin-dependent one that's an autoimmune...

    Increase Energy Levels?

Yes, it can be tapered with good insulin dosage and a balanced diet, but as a Type 1, sometimes you can give yourself too much insulin and go low as a result, so that's why I always need something sugary on me. And sometimes there are just those days where you are lower/higher for whatever...

    Increase Energy Levels?

Yeah that's the mantra I've been going with since my diagnosis. Tbh, even when I eat something I used to love (ice cream), for a holiday or something (had some on Thanksgiving), I don't think I missed out on much. And plus there's so much stress to deal with when you get the insulin dose for...

    Rockwell Trading (Marks Heitkoetter) BUSTED!

I know know, capitalism and regulation are not mutually exclusive lol. Sometimes you have to frame it like this to get on the good side of the super capitalists xD. Avoiding pointless arguments is often a skill in itself.
