I think what you see on RAPACapIntro doesn't have a large enough sample-size to be significative ... there is no doubt pattern 151 has a tough time this year, just opposite of the TR patterns which are doing great, because that's the dominant mode of operation of CL for now. That was also the...

    Results for the week ending September 12, 2014: BasicTM : 1 win ; 2 losses ; net +135 AlternateTM : 1 win ; 2 losses ; net +5 We had today a rare set of 2 patterns 152 back-to-back … pattern 152 have an overall win% around 52.5%, so having 1 loss + 1 win is not a surprise … but the 1st one...

Current DD on my BasicTM account is -3470, which is well within the expected max DD on a yearly basis. Current DD on my AlternateTM account is -985. That said, 2014 has been pretty difficult for the core pattern of this system (151), which is the one that I have been trading for the longest...

It is easy to show in backtest that using the dynamic-exit for losing trades yields better results than relying on a stop. The size of the catastrophic stop is a compromise, between absolute best performance & risk(s) management (not to mention emotional capital management)

You are correct, the same event (trend-change) is used as entry-signal as well as exit-signal. For entries, depending on the pattern, the system can either go with the new trend (TR patterns) or against it (CT patterns). In most cases, the exit is on the next trend-change. For CT patterns in...

The system gets in & out of trades at trend-changes, that's the primary dynamic exit. There are a couple of anticipated entries & exits as well. Static exits are typically end-of-session and/or end-of-week.

There is quite a bit of info. on the website (dom993trading.com) ... CL151 v06 default settings use a 120-t stop for CT patterns, and 60-t stop for TR patterns. Those stop are "catastrophic" stops, as the system mostly uses dynamic exit-signals. The Basic TradeManagement uses a 60-t target for...

Arguments Against Raising Minimum Wage Don't Hold up

When someone can publish that 1% of $10 is 1-cent, I not only question his maths abilities, but the quality & professionalism of all those involved in getting it published.

Forgot to mention, I have a webinar recording on the website / Systems page & a couple more on the NinjaTrader add-on partners YouTube channel where I get into a fair amount of details re. the market model & statistical analysis.

CL151/302/15xTR patterns are based on trends relationships & geometry, the underlying market-model foundation uses price+volume+time to identify the pivots used in the trend identification mechanism. In addition, I use filters based on further trends characteristics, relationships & geometry...

Trading & the Zero Sum Game Debate

A transaction is always negative-sum ... the asset is transferred from the seller to the buyer, and commissions/fees are extracted by the exchange & broker.

    Stop order fills

I would say that your datafeed did not report the transaction(s) at or below 1156.90 ... if you are using IB as your datafeed, look no further, they routinely miss reporting high & low ticks, by the very nature of that datafeed.

I have made a few changes in the systems offering on the website: a) I have “retired” CL Always-In … I think CL 151 has now reached a far better performance level b) I introduced a few weeks ago CL 302, a system derived from CL 151, and designed for small accounts … I am releasing CL302 v03...

    New look of ET

The "More Options..." button mostly greats the poster with a brand new ad, losing sight of even the last post, and really not offering any options that couldn't be made available through a dropbox. I really suffer from a "tunnel" effect on this new site ... the left vertical banner is useless...
