i disagree. it was an overreaction - just like the aapl crap after it announced that it beat earnings. goog will creep its way back over 400 over the next 4 weeks because people(individuals) like tech right now.

where did you get your short data from? i thought nasdaq only realeased monthly short data...

They have been too high for too long(read: overbought) There was too much negative speculation priced into crude for the past few months: iran, opec, etc. The market has a "better safe then sorry" attitude, but that attitude does not last indefinately.
