    Trading as an art form

Nice job Dustin. I still make those mistakes damn near every day. But as long as those mistakes still fit into a positive expected return, trading life is good. Say hi to Corey and Szeven for me.

    SOXL was my second choice.

Anyone Bottom Fishing Buying SOXL with Me?

I'm kinda with you. I've been averaging into FNGU in my ROTH on an embarrassingly small scale. Completely different product, but still a leveraged ETF. Average entry is 34.15. Sort of an oops, but not really. It's more of just a fun experiment using a little algebra with very small size...

    Position Sizing

Good question. From what I know about Monte Carlo, wouldn't you have to do an MC simulation on every stock (while using the exact same strategy on each one), take the worst possible outcome for each one, combine them, and calculate your risk using that result? Just throwing my 2 cents out...

For any of you who are struggling, but believe in yourselves, watch this

Shit, sorry. The Cliff notes were wrong. It was actually the morning after Christmas, when the Hessians were nice and hung over. Perhaps this is why this wee lad don't drink no mo.

For any of you who are struggling, but believe in yourselves, watch this

Well, Washington does this improbable thing on Christmas morning and gets all kinds of cool stuff from the Hessians. Story ends. Cliff enough for ya?

    What's your preparation?

I know exactly what you mean. I was a UPS driver back in 2012 and 2013 after a really bad year because of a lack of discipline/effort. I will never take trading for granted again. To answer your question, I use my scanner to add/subtract stocks from my watchlist. Then to repeat what someone...

    prop firm opportunity in Austin

No kidding. My firm is in NYC. I have my 57, they give me more leverage than I would ever use, and I trade in my sweats and a hoodie every day from my home in Wisconsin. I don't get it.

TOS Volume Profile Point of Control.

Just to be clear, I am only looking at the current day on all time frames. 1 min, 5, 15, etc.

TOS Volume Profile Point of Control.

I get a different POC level in different time frames. I've played with the settings, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. What am I missing? TIA

how much cost to have us stocks 1m candles

Have you looked into Trade Ideas? I can't trade without it. I've been with them for many years, so I'm Grandfathered in at $99 per month for the pro version, so I don't know how much it is now. But to be clear this is a real time scanner with an incredible amount of back testing capabilities...

    Bottled Water

One of the many reasons I still live in the country. I always have a large bottle of tap water by my desk. I can definitely tell the difference between tap and bottled. Not to mention the local city water is disgusting.

    Prop Trading Business Model

I went with this for awhile many years ago because I was desperate and just wanted to trade. Bad idea. I got a track record together, got my 57, and started making money. My firm takes 5%.

    Still looking for my strategy

There's a simple algebra equation I can share. You won't make huge money, but it works in my TDA Roth with zero commissions.

    Walk it off.

Weight loss takes serious motivation. I lost 40 pounds in 6 months because of a girl. I never got her back, but I lost the weight. I'm still at 195, but after hurting my back, I just look like a flabby old bastard.

How to know if my edge is going away?

Is this a joke, or do you really have no idea when it comes to basic risk management? Not to mention Monte Carlo, etc?

A very booooring trade today...Hanger (HNGR)

Also with obesity in the US, I know that diabetes will continue and legs will have to come off. We will also see more strokes (obesity and baby boomers)...Hence MYO technology. Hate to see it, but it will be a reality. This is why I am 54 years old 6' 0" and 195 pounds in Wisconsin. (OK, maybe...
