With the right mindset and a proven trading strategy, would it be possible?

Lol wow, I see that, Is this robbins company a sham? I've heard some talk before about how something with larry williams and a group of educators benefit from the site ect but never really looked into it. Neverthe less it seems the participants use real money $10k and the results appear to be...

With the right mindset and a proven trading strategy, would it be possible?

Possible? Sure, so is winning the lotto. Likely? Not at all. Take a look at this trading contest championship that has been going on for years ,go to the "standings" tab. The leaderboards give you an idea of what is possible at the upper end of trading talent. But again, what you propose is...

Problem with trading 1 contract only

lol oh so your that guy. Sometimes it's actually harder to play against opponents who do that sort of thing, ya never know what the hell to expect from them on any hand and you wonder if they have ever even played. Sometimes they get lucky as hell ( in the short term) but they won't be around...

Problem with trading 1 contract only

You need to backtest your rules on your chosen market over a large enough sample to know with any degree of accuracy what to expect. An analogy....Say you are novice playing texas hold em poker and don't know the probabilities of the game. You have an Ace of clubs and 6 of hearts. You probably...

Add me to the list of crazies :) I think bitcoin and blockchain tech will be widely used in the financial industry and beyond in the next decade.

    Why do you trade?

    1. 28 2. Used to trade a lot intraday, now trade more daily+ timeframes as I have found it easier for me to be profitable on higher timeframes due to less impact of transaction costs. With higher volatility as of late, have taken more intraday trades because there is adequate daily range for my...

Bank Of England Chief Economist Calls For Cash Ban, Urges Negative Rates

"Interestingly, one idea, Haldane told an audience of business owners in Northern Ireland, could be to scrap cash and adopt a state-issued digital currency like Bitcoin.Although widely reviled as the currency for drug dealers and criminals, Haldane said Bitcoin’s distributed payment technology...

What is the economic rationale for allowing the Fed to create trillions of dollars out of thin air

There really isn't a whole lot that is new under the sun. Inflation is just a hidden tax, robbing peter to pay paul. Rome debased currency too thousands of years ago. Debasement of currency is corrupt and that is why I am against it. Not sure what internet companies have to do with an inflation...

What is the economic rationale for allowing the Fed to create trillions of dollars out of thin air

Avg life of a fiat currency through history is 40 years, we came off the gold standard in 1971. At this point they are just trying to keep the music going for as long as possible before losing complete control. "The free market always gets the final word" even if it takes 40 years or so lol

    FOMC Thursday?

For ES, I have a premonition that price will breach one side of that triangle that everyone is looking at to fool in the early breakout guys then go the other way. No positions going into it. Going to see how we close , then possibly take a position .I was thinking bull with a close above ES...

Are there any millionaire traders who started undercapitalized?

Jared Kenna purchased 5000 bitcoins at .20 cents and traded them back for USD at $258 a piece. $1,290,000 . Right place at the right time. Luck, jackpot, genius foresight, call it what you will. He lost approximately $200,000 when he reformatted his drive with a different batch of coins lol

I have bought Al Brooks' Trading Course

The definition of TA or how it is used can be all over the board. Arguing about TA with surf is a losing trade. Cut your losses :)

The authors of "The Bible of Technical Analysis" and review of the "Bible".

Point taken but Richard W. Schabacker was writing about TA before Edwards and Magee. Interestingly some of the most successful guys in trading that I have read about talk of using TA in some way. Not necessarily as a tool for prediction but as a tool to define an entry, stop , and target...
