Bought some (not a lot relative to my risk tolerance) weekly SPY 135 calls (7/30). Debit paid is my stop loss. Kind of a just in case side bet.

Add to short squeeze: My GUESS if they come to an agreement on the debt by tomorrow before close or even early next week, ES will climb past 50 and take out the right shoulder. I am not a new junkie, but that's pretty big news.

So that is the reason the market is bullish. Made no sense otherwise.

    Debt Ceiling and Default

I agree for the most part. The banks primarily caused financial crisis - that includes Fannie and Freddie - mortgage lenders (of course millions who lied on their loan applications went along - with encouragement). The Fed and Treasury wouldn't and still won't, do anything without passing it...

I might think the same, except Vol has consistently slam dunked money in the bank over a period of years. Been following this forum for years......"Rule of 10." What he and Ammo talk about reminds me of Spectre's "dispersion trade." I haven't posted that much; but I read this journal each day.

Didn't trade today on my way to LA with my wife. Wont be trading for about a week (wife doesn't like divided attention on trips). One thing vexes me though. I wanted to go short overnight; but didn't because of nfp. I am.going.to analyze trading around news a.d lead.

Agree. No more quotes on this nonsense. He's my on ignore list and that will make one less opportunity for you to see anything he has to say.

My guess a lot of effort in the past, not giving up, and learning from mistakes. Just a guess. But that is the way it usually works.

Yes. Honestly that is kind of what concerns me. Not sure if fall would stop on the normal target for H&S may keep going beyond target. SPX gets weird between 1350 and 1550. I take seriously some of Ammo's charts.

In following this journal for quite some time Volente uses h&s IHS. He also uses stops. and at times his stops are hit.

I believe in hs and IHS and other patterns. the only problem I have with this one is the whole world is looking at it. :)

I agree. there is still room for a right shoulder.

It seems though things get weired when the SPX trades between between 1350 and 1575.

May go long if there is any kind of bounce around 45. May not. Will post if I do.

Out at 47.25 for -1 loss. Looks like today's in and around 45 support could hold. That's why I changed for a tight stop.
