    Is Technical Analysis a joke??

    Is Technical Analysis a joke??

In my opinion, anything other than simple support and resistance (S&R), trend lines/channels, overhead and underlying S&R is a joke.

What information does Technical analysis tell you ?

For me, technical analysis gives a visual example of buying and selling pressure. Combine chart patterns with volume and it helps me to anticipate turning points. Of course, none of this is 100% accurate but it's possible to be right way more often than wrong. If disciplined enough, technical...

    Day trading a suckers game?

People have had a lot of smoke this past year for day trading. Why's that?

if you have a holy grail, what would you do when you are too old to trade?

I'd become a trillionaire and share it only with my children. Even then, I'd have money into so many different areas of the economy that even if my system somehow stopped working, I have passive income coming in regardless.

Fed economists warn of inflation and ‘economic ruin’ if MMT-type policies are ever adopted

They make the exact same claim whenever any type of monetary reform is proposed. Going to a monetary policy that helps working class people is always called inflationary by those who benefit from the system as it currently functions.

Any Coders Work For a Financial Institution?

Now I think I know why the person with whom I'd originally spoken recommended Web Development, because I'm going the self-taught route. It seems that coding for a financial institution might not be highly possible going my route.

Any Coders Work For a Financial Institution?

I'm not sure if this thread belongs here or in the programming section. My apologies if the latter is the case. I'm looking to get some advice from programmers/coders on here who work for financial institutions. Based on your experience, what would you guys say is a realistic learning path for...

How many traders are actually making a living?

I did say that I loss in some cases due to being wrong but I don't really concern myself with those because that's part of the game and not necessarily a mental flaw.

How many traders are actually making a living?

I realized that I didn’t tell the whole story in my initial reply. Yes, I tended to be highly accurate but the main reason why I didn’t make money is because in the majority of instances, I’d talk myself out of taking the trade. There were times when I’d literally call the top or bottom tick in...

How many traders are actually making a living?

I couldn't make money consistently because my execution was usually poor.

How many traders are actually making a living?

I don't know the number, but I gave up on trading. While I tend to be a highly accurate technical analyst, I couldn't consistently make money with my accurate analysis, so fuck it. I decided to go back into Programming. During my stint as a trader, I knew a few guys who were rich and actually...

An MMTer Explains MMT In 320 Words

The American Monetary Institute founded by Stephen Zarlenga has the best approach. AMI is saying a lot of what MMT is saying but AMI isn't oblivious to the issue of debt, both public and private. MMT seems to gloss over the debt issue.
