    Locking down my TWS

A pc dedicated to trading is the best idea. No surfing, email, etc. on that PC. Another thing: hardware firewall. Netgear, with SPI is a good deal.

POLL for traders who trade the Jack Hershey method(s) in real time with real money

Quote from Jack, from a thread started by someone in college inquiring about how to make it: "For humor, do you know any attractive gals whose families have been in the industry for three generations? I don't think they are going to school outside of the boundaries of New England. Learn to...

    AMD Bankruptcy or Bounce?

    Between 9 & 10 $. My guess 9.45.

Why was the "Objections to SCT" thread closed?

It can all be trumped. Apply for a "Hershey Method" trademark at the USPTO. Cease and desist is what he'll hear.

    AMD Bankruptcy or Bounce?

It can come down some more. But not $0.00, because they do have assets that are worth something.

Here is a new volume histogram paradigm. Nowhere does it appear in the CW, and it was Invented just now, by me, 225, an upstart market guru. At each bar, volume begins at zero, call it 'v'. If there is volume at the bid, subtract that volume from 'v'. If there is volume at the ask, add...

It's true! Take a look at flow.jpg. A volume histogram! You are a genius, FM.

Oh, FM, are you referring to me? Why send me off to read nonsense? I am thinking that volume bars might look like a histogram. Down bars would go below zero and up bars above zero. Have I erred? Am I a heathen infidel?

I may be getting beyond my capabilities here, but would volume bars that reflected the balance of money flow be more useful? If more trades occurred at the ask, it's an up bar. If more trades occurred at the bid, it's a down bar. Surely I am no genius, so this must have occurred to someone else...

I see what you mean. The color of the bars must be insignifigant, too.

FM, you mentioned rectification. Wikipedia's article about a rectifier has nice pics for those of us with reading impairments and/or an inability to visualize techical matters. Anyway, I am curious whether you have ever considered doing "full-wave" rectification on volume.

Sorry about the deletion, FM. These boards are new to me and it's so easy to push the wrong button. For the benefit of the readership, my question was essentially, "Do you ignore volume?" Profuse apologies to everyone.

Could it have something to do with stalagmites or stalagtites. You can rememember which are which by, in the words of an anonymous National Park Service Guide, observing that "stalagmites" contains the word "mit" and stalagtites contains the word -- well, won't go there on a family board.

Does it have something to do with 1) the direction of price change 2) the extent of price change 3) volume

POLL for traders who trade the Jack Hershey method(s) in real time with real money

It's running 2 to 1 against the method. Even Jack, with his extensive Washington public relations experience, cannot spin this poll.
