I’m not bailing from my outright cocoa longs until it hits the 2800 area. GBP is not weak and that’s definitely aiding this move. As far as wheat goes. I bailed from my KE long earlier today (in the nick of time apparently). To anyone else holding wheat I think it’s gunning for that gap.

Great day for trading if you like lighting money on fire. Just constant VWAP mean rev and other tick fuckery.

Nah it’s just aggregate volume for the whole thing due to the way eSignal sums spread volume when you use multiple spreads in a chart. I wouldn’t pay much attention to it in this situation. In the bottom chart it’s the real volume for the KN exchange spread. I just have it as a default study on...

Can I hear about your worst trades ever?? Everyone will freely talk about their best ones...

On the other hand 1000:1 is pretty ridiculous, one better be absolutely right.

Just gotta mind that KN correlation (if it's the ultimate driver of it)... Not sure I'd want to step in front of this myself, but I trust price more than fundamentals...

IB Doesn't Provide S&P Sector Futures?

@ids Would you be open to a general "please add this instrument" thread for IB? I've got quite a short list and it's tedious opening tickets for all of them. It also allows others to chime in.

IB Doesn't Provide S&P Sector Futures?

Although I generally agree with what you're saying it depends on the market making program in play. Some of the mini contracts for metals and energy actually are fairly decent (although I recommend people stick to the full size ones if they have the margin/account for them). If CME has a decent...

IMO this *was* the contrarian move man, and that's one of the reasons it moved up without a single dip - tons of people offsides. Once this thing cleared 2735 you should have abandoned all hope on the short stuff and went balls deep long. Everyone earlier in the week (not necessarily in this...

Those vol stats are wrong. These contracts have OI and volume. http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/products/#pageNumber=1&sortAsc=false&sortField=vol&searchString=Select+Sector

This sounds like lining up just to get punched in the face. Not sure why you'd be interested in bucking the trend just yet.

Am I the only one who feels this is simply reflexive buying? It doesn’t have that “bottom” feel to it, more like a retrace. Granted I’m open to anything, but the price action seems kinda off.

Think your stop was just a bit too tight here as it closed at 1480 and still could make a move to 1525-1535 on the daily, however, 1.5 is probably a magnet price and there's plenty of other traders potentially selling this area on technicals. Weekly still looks like a downtrending range to me...

The only trades of note I had going on was short RTY during the London open last night but I got fucked out of my 1488 targets. Everything else today was just inconsequential, couple scratches.

    SVXY and UVXY Leverage Slashed

Extremely uncool to change this on an existing product: 1. It screws over everyone who is using this product for some kind of utilitarian purpose - forcing them to rebalance and/or outright change products. 2. It reprices all existing options, option strategies, etc. 3. It screws over any kind...
