wow....3 years and you aren't making the big money? thats unreal!.......ok, enough of my sarcasm.....how many years does it take the person getting an MD or JD degree to make the big money? 7? 10? 12, 15? It always blows me away how people expect riches virtually "overnight" by trading...

The oddest thing about schonfeld is the closing of the Chicago office.....I would think in a town of 10000 traders some good ones would trickle in. Did the LA office manager go back to Boca?

Indeed my experience with IB has been very positive, I mainly trade futures and shopped a number of brokers before setting the primary account with IB.....interestingly enough, when I asked other brokers how the compared themselves with IB I got numerous comments about how bad IB was......I...

its a funny thing...some traders would be better without charts...if you never made money with them..........give it a try!

I have traded over 20 years and have had wild swings year over year in income and have never been audited. Just be very consistant in how you report.

i got the computer "discs" from Examco I think it was.....just kept takeing it over and over and over untill i scored over 90....took the test and scored 86...i would say 80% of the questions on the exam were verbatim from the discs......good luck

10 years floor experience, and I can honestly say that it has not helped myself nor my comrades who left the floor to trade "upstairs". You can "smell" and "feel" the market on the floor, knowing the players, how they act when they get a size order, knowing who is constantly wrong...

the problem I find with most of these guys (and gals) is that they either never traded, or never successfully traded. Ok, I suppose you could teach someone to fly if you never flew yourself, but........

You can know yourself all you want. The problem comes from putting on a position, and the bigger the position the bigger the problem. Anyone can walk a tightrope 6 inches off the ground; try it 50 feet up.

funny, this is what IB actually states: NOTE: For market centers that do not accept "native" Stop Limit orders, IB simulates this order type. J painter says something different....no wonder he is frightened! I think he is looking for any chance to dis IB???

what does that mean? simulate all stop limit orders?
